Re: Mirenaized? very scarry

I just wrote in a post above about how the Mirena affects your brain. I didn't have thoughts of ending my own life, but I did have thoughts of how it would be easier for my family if I wasn't here. Can you imagine? I guess you could. I have a 15 yr. old son, 13 yr. and 4 yr. old daughter and my wonderful husband. I can tell you all that my Mirena has been out for 9 months and all those feelings are gone. I feel wonderful, the only side effects are occassional anxiety and still some hair loss. I'll take that and deal with it as long as I have my mental health. So if you haven't yet, get it taken out. Make SURE your doctor knows you were having those feelings. If you give your doctor a list of side effects that you feel were caused by Mirena, they by law, are to report them to the manufacture. Don't let them brush you off. The manufacturer already knows that the Mirena can cause these ide effects, but it's our responsibility to let them know how many. Good luck to everyone.

One one last note: I can remember - after removal - the first time I laughed in what was probably a long time. It was that silly commercial for pizza (domino's?) Look at the cheese - and the guys eyes got really big - then smell it, and his nose got huge - stupid commercial but it was significant if I can remember the first time I truly laughed in 9 months, and felt it. I guess that was the moment I FELT that I would be ok.
