I'm pretty sure I contracted Ascaris in high school. I didn't start my period until I was 14, always had irregular periods, never thought about a parasitic connection, but perhaps there is one. I've wondered if they cause infertility, as that was my problem.
Birth control pills can also make your periods lighter. Perhaps that is what is happening. Shroom might be able to shed some light on how hormones affect parasites for us.
