Post op swelling and discomfort. Your experiences

Hi. I am 11 days into my inguinal hernia operation recovery. I have a huge swelling around the site of incision. It sticks out almost 3/4". And is appox 6" long. It is quite tender to the touch. It also feels sft and spongy underneath. And the skin around it appears quite hard too. It has also been leaking yellow puss. I thought it was an infection and my doctor agreed with me, so she put me on seven days worth of Antibiotics . I have been taking these for nearly three days now and there has been no change in appearance or size. I have recently learnt that Antibiotics usually take about three days to start working. So Im not too worried. But I do keep wondering if it is something else, or if perhaps the repair did not work. Ive not lifted or strained. The only thing i did do is sneeze twice and I did'nt manage to support it for the first sneeze. I have no constiption problems, however my urine smells quite strong and I am drinking enough. It has not always smelled strong.
