Re: I am so FURIOUS I have had a Mirena for 3 years now and Just found this site!!!!!
I can relate! When I read what you said about eating and eating to make the nausea and passing-out feeling go away, I had to say, "Amen sister1" I have gained 20 to 25
pounds since I had the IUD, and all I ever wanted to do was eat. It did seem like the only thing I could do to feel better, too.
I've posted a few times earlier, and I'm on day 11 after my removal. I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 2 pounds. It's the first time I have weighed myself and lost weight in months. I only had the device for about 8 months, and am also 37 years old. I've also noticed that the
Acne on my upper back is nearly gone. (I never had
Acne on my back before the IUD..it showed up 4 months after the insertion.)
I have been drinking a LOT of water since the removal, and it's really helped me. I'm taking a B complex vitamin and have cut way back on sugar, too. (It wasn't too difficult..I'm not craving it like I used to!)
My life has already greatly changed since the removal, but I can't say it will be exactly the same for everyone else. I only know it was the right thing for me to do. I've had to deal with a few headaches since the removal..but they're not migranes, which is what I used to get. My energy level is way up, and I actually want to do things with my family and friends again!
