Re: Chelation for Calcium Deposits?

Chelation is expensive and time consuming. I checked about ten years ago; it was $100 per treatment, required about 20 treatments, each lasting several hours hooked up to an IV in the doctor's office.

What you can do for yourself:

Magnesium replaces calcium inside the cell.

The best chelators are L-lysine, L-cysteins and L-Methionine for amino acids, Vitamin C and its accompanying bioflavonoids, garlic,

and CoQ10. Angioprim, a famous chelator is made up of the first two amino acids mentioned with another synthetic amino acid called Caystine - ??? I don't vouch for Angioprim, as a similar agent, Jogging in a Jug, has a lawsuit against it.

On a budget, you could go heavy garlic and supplement with a few months of L-lysine. Be sure to take it with food because it is hard on the stomach. I certainly would continue the ACV because if it will clean out an old kettle, it should clean out your calcium.

You might consider that Iodine in time will loosen up these deposits as well.

Someone on CZ advocates five minutes of rubbing one hand with the fingernails of the other hand, and I would think that would help loosen up the deposits. You could substitute a body brush. That's free to do.

I have heard that manganese straightens out fingers crippled from arthritis. Manganese is in brazil nuts, pecans, barley, buckwheat and split peas.

Also consider that calcium absorption may be the problem, and that you may not have had the proper nutrient to help the calcium absorb, so that it deposits in the tissues, and that your problem is not calcium excess but resultant lack of calcium. This would be true if you tend to osteoporosis. It is so important to get minerals in a balanced form, such as Sea Salt or blackstrap molasses, and not just take one or two supplements that will throw off the others.

Another thing you can do is try to get all the info you can on the subject. Google calcium deposits, bone spurs, EDTA chelation, natural chelators, calcium metabolism, everything you can think of to get further information. You can also ask what you can do at little or no cost on the Minerals Forum.

I am always so happy to read your posts. You are a shining light. Please post often.
