a story of unexpected antihelminthics.

This all reminds me of a story this guy I once met told me. He had been travelling in Africa and picked up some kind of large parasite. When he got home to Australia he went to the doc about his belly troubles and was given some OTC antihelminthic, which rarely does a thing as we all know. This didn't work... so the doc gave him some prescription stuff... this didn't work so the doc brought out the big guns and gave him some mega strong prescription stuff (I don't know any of the drug names he was given). None of this worked... So he just went on living with this ever worsening belly problem, tried some herbs blah blah nothing worked.

Then he decided to subject his tenant to a hopefully lethal (to the worm) dose of psychedelics. I think his attitude was that he didn't have much faith this would work, but then again even if it didn't it could be fun anyway. He took enough acid to keep him tripping for 4 days (I don't know the quantities), and he didn't eat in this time. I am assuming he drank water.
After four days he had all kinds of rumblings and then a desperate urge to evacuate, and out came in one full go, a HUGE tape worm all noodled up, the size of a very large cow pat!!!

Since then his digestion has been great and his health returned!

Crazy huh!!

I hope this post isn't deleted, if it is it will just be testament to the fear people have of exploring what's always around us.
