Re: US Food Riots Closer Than You Think

Here was a sobering article from this morning's
headlines on surviving climate changes.

http://www.rense.com/general78/surv.htm

I think we have been slowly preparing here
for these kind of changes for years but it
is difficult to imagine the reality of it.

I try to keep my inner talk on the BEST case
scenario however, and remind myself that I
will attract energetically what my thoughts
dwell on. Releasing fear is the first hurdle
and then actually preparing mentally and
spiritually are the proactive ways I am
dealing with the uncertainty of the future.

During Hurricane Rita we got a taste of what
the article you shared addresses though and so
I would also encourage folks to not ignore the
need for some plan. When the power goes down
you will not be able to go to a store and buy
anything since the cash registers are run on
electricity and they will not even take cash
for anything. I watched an old man during a
blackout try to exchange a ten dollar bill
for a small bottle of cough syrup for his sick
wife. His offer was rejected. It was a sobering
reality that emphasized that one needs to have
a way to meet one's needs for weeks if necessary
or longer if the sheet really hits the fan.

I am sure I am not alone in going to sleep each
night wondering what the morning news will bring.
I am also sure I am not alone in hoping for the
best and praying to that effect...

blessings,
Zoe
