Re: pcos
While I do not necessarily disagree with Wombat's point of view, I have read and reread your post and you do not seem to have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism or adrenal insufficiency and your lab tests are within normal limits.
This was my case exactly. I had exactly the same symptoms you have and more. I was diagnosed with metabolic syndrome, which in fact has many of the identical symptoms of PCOS. I was put on medication for diabetes, hypertension and depression. Medication did help.
Then I found iodine, through this very forum. I started with one drop, then one drop twice a day, then two drops twice a day, etc. I started very slowly upping the dose and nothing happened. About three weeks in I noticed a lessening of my fibromyalgia pain. Then I experienced a very strong detox and had really bad flu like symptoms for about ten days. I stopped the
Iodine in order to let my body catch up. I got more aggressive after that with the iodine, upping the dose fairly quickly until I got a detox from my eyes (eyelashes matted together in the mornings and red eyes). I was off and on with the
Iodine and it seemed stopping the
Iodine didn't seem to make a difference. So I pushed through and kept upping the dose and the matting and red eyes went away.
My eyes are still very dry and I alternate my homemade drops with a homeopathic solution for dry eyes. I have not lost any weight. I have to keep to a really strict diet of protein and vegetables to keep my
Sugar low and off the medication. From time to time I detox candida and I use increased probiotics combined with topical
Colloidal Silver to keep the inflammation down. It seems that candida protects the heavy metal irritation from the body and when the heavy metals are detoxed, the candida also can be detoxed.
I am not where I want to be, but thank God I am not where I was - normal labs, and tired and not wanting to have a life - helped only by drugs, and those drugs helped the labs, but did not put me where I wanted to be. Iodine at least has me on the path to where I want to be.
I am now on high doses, varying each day from 16 to50 drops, depending on what I feel like and if my elimination is keeping up with my dose. I have virtually no detox symptoms at this time, and feel competent to deal with whatever detox comes. If you begin iodine, your detox may be much different than mine. But you can post and people can advise you as you go along. I think as far as the
parasite cleanse goes, my opinion would be to do one or the other. I have seen posts that it is more difficult to do both together. Your decision.
So, read the material and make your own decision about starting and increasing the dose. The FAQs (top of the screen) will give you a lot of information. No one can make the decision for you. I just wanted you to know my experience.
