Re: Please help- My 23 month old has severe eczema and its getting worse! Need advice
My son's eczema started showing up when he was 3 months old... it eventually covered his entire body except for the bottoms of his feet, his palms, and his diaper area. The ONLY thing that has helped him has been a raw, natural diet. He's just turned two this month and the eczema is almost gone; it's only his cheeks now, and sometimes there are barely visible bumps on his body but they haven't turned into anything... We are able to go places now without too much staring from adults and comments from children.
The only thing he and I are eating are raw fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds. Even a tiny bit of dairy or soy sets off another wave of rashes and oozing...
Cooked food, bottled or canned juices or anything like that which is acidy in the body also sets it off again. I don't even consider refined
White Sugar ...
On the plus side, I feel fantastic and can tell that this is the correct diet for the human body (mine and his anyway)... my skin is very clear, people mistake me for younger all the time, and I have a lot of energy and a calm disposition... Baby too most of the time, and as I said, his face is almost clear. It was just about clear about a month ago until I ate something I didn't realize contained soy. But we're eating well now again and being careful - and I know he'll be completely clear soon.
I hope this helps! Little babies shouldn't have to deal with this amount of discomfort!
