Re: sorry :(
playing it by ear is the best way. Keeping your body from eating if a HUGE shock and you have to allow yourself somethings.
You know, you do something that is universal and the key to survival (eating) everyday. It's a terrible shock to your body to stop that. Your mind knows that you're not in any danger and that your just voluntarily keeping yourself from eating, but your body doesn't know that. For all it knows, you're in the woods, stuck, no food. Quick! Gotta make reserves and keep us alive!
Not only this, but we live in a time of luxury. Even the poorest person has at least a tv, a bed, some food in their fridge, phone... and let's be honest, some things we don't need, beer, some form or other of narcotics (be it legal or not). So, cutting food out is a very strange thing indeed.
Also, food is like a bookmark in our day. What is a normal day? It's comprised of morning, after-noon and evening. Why the three stages of the day? What decides that one is done and the other begins? Breakfast, diner and supper. It's very strange to have your day not be in three stages, but rather a long continuous span of time.
You're basically changing a lot of things around and sometimes it will make your mind play tricks on you. I know I got somewhat sad when I fasted for a couple of days. The key is to understand all of this and remember why you are doing this.
