Projection

You asked Ry, not that you or others will agree w this of course.
It might be helpful to say its an emotional defensive tactic, of someone who is finding their attention focused on something too uncomfortable, so they try to use denying, being perhaps angry also,to keep their identity stable. The problem being so real and large to us, it becomes a lens thru which we see the world, and we particularize it, as our egos have ability, w re to nouns encountered, either in gross ways or more subtle ones. When our inner world isnt at peace we often dont want to admit our role in the matter.

We all , happy or less than so,are for the most part, looking thru our own particular issues/understandings as we view living experience, so its great to have less or no issues so the view is clear. Its not so much projecting as being under the influence, in a subtle fog of emotional fields.

What it is we teach is often what it is we are working on learning and
what it is we preach is often what it is we refuse to practice.
