Re: Question..
Hi there InfiniteLove !
I hate suffering and I hate to suffer, but I marvel at saints , such as St. Therese of Lisuex, Madam Guyon, and others who gladly suffered, so they could offer their pain as a sacrifice to God for the good of mankind. In fact, when St. Therese was dying of tuberculosis, she took great pleasure in offering all the pain towards Christ.
When she did this, the pain would go away sometimes, and this left her dissapointed- as though evil was taking that opportunity away from her.
I know these poor suffering people in our World today do not deserve what they are going through. Maybe God's spirit is giving them inner grace to hang in there while the suffering is chiseling their souls and creating deep spiritual growth in them.
Maybe one day when we all die, we will wish we suffered more than we did- because we will see all these beautiful souls more fully grown and as beautiful as a perfectly clear quartz crystal -- because they let suffering polish their souls while on earth.
