Just one point here.....

Synthetic Nutritional Supplements are not Drugs; Ascorbate for example, is chemically identical to the Ascorbic Acid found in Vitamin C from plants in Nature.
Synthetic Nutritionals are bioavailable and utilised by the body, whereas any drug is not.
You cannot overdose on Nutritionals (with a few exceptions) such as Vitamin A and Iron; if you do overdose on Vitamin C (for example) the only adverse event is diarrhea.
On the other hand a drugs dosage has to be weighed for its risk assessment of toxicity by medical Doctors in case of serious side effects and possible death.

I suggest you read the book "Ascorbate: The Science of Vitamin C" by Dr Stephen Hickey (Doctor in Medical Biophysics) and Hillary Roberts. Stephens sister was cured of Eisenmenger Syndrome after consuming 24 Grams of Ascorbate per day, on his advice.
