Re: Why would anyone allow their kids to do this?
I disagree with you sorry, I am raising 2 boys with virtually NO restrictions placed on them. I believe in their right to choose. However this does not mean I condone doing such things and remain a supportive parent.
I have an 11 and 17 yr old.
Wouldn't you know they are the best? My oldest does no drugs, no alcohol, no sex, doesnt even have a driver's license yet. Has made no mention of wanting to do such things. Because he knows if he WANTS to he can. But he knows because of the way I live it would be unhealthy to do these things.
I think if I would have shoved restrictions down his throat all his life he would have turned out the complete opposite , such as the way I was raised.
In other countries it is completely permissable to drink at a young age. And they are not alcoholics and abuse it. However some might but that goes with any statistics. Just sayin'
The problems we have in AMERICA is deep rooted oppression and puritanism. And those things cause MORE problems than anything else.
America is the #1 country in obesity, diabetes, mental disorders, heart attacks and nuke weapons.
Isn't that great?? the most nuke weapons in the hands of the most disturbed society.
I suspect you have NO children. Or I could be wrong?
