Glax, Ref Chromium: Check this site, I think it may help..
Hi Glax :),
Here's the link to a site called World's Healthiest Foods:
http://www.whfoods.com
I searched Chromium on the site and came up with this info, which you may find useful:
http://www.whfoods.com/sitesearch.php?sstr=chromium&how=1
This site's info has always checked out solid for me.
It specifically mentions Chromium in connection w/Diabetes, hence your comments referencing blood sugar may be more directly addressed.
IMHO just because something is only present in trace amounts, doesn't preclude it being absolutely essential.
Dr. Joel Wallach (A Veterinarian married to an MD, Ma Lan) has written an attitudinal but relevant book, titled "Rare Earths, Forbidden Cures" which presents much good info on how the lack or excess of many different trace substances result in particular physical and very often, mental/emotional disorders, including psychoses. 'Rare Earths' and 'Trace Minerals' are not synonyms, but there is much common ground.
Hope this will assist your search..
Good Health to All of Us,
Ladylove :)
