    When I first ran across the CNBC episode on Kevin I watched a You Tube video clip about the show. Of all people to interview, there was Stephen Barret of Quack Watch. That ended any thought of "unbiased" reporting for me.
    
    I have always thought Kevin was a bit of a huckster and have never bought any of his books.However I do love yard sales and I have all of the books. Never paid more than $1.00 for one. Some pretty good stuff in them, but not near enough for his price.
    
    I can think of a lot more interesting things to watch or do than catching that showing.

Hello everyone. I know there are many KT haters on here and I agree he has a rocky past, but I personsally still enjoy his advice. His natural cures book woke me up in many ways in my pursuit toward good health. I was wondering if anyone on here knows which product he claims "cures" hair loss. He spoke about it on his 8-18-11 broadcast, but you had to email him for the name of the product. Now his websites are pretty much non-functional unless you are making a donation to his legal defense fund. Thanks.

Kevin who always seemed to claim to be super rich, now claims that his total worth is less than the $37 million supreme court fine imposed on him, and is 'virtually' penniless and homeless. After losing court case a receiver has been appointed over his personal wealth. What he means by virtually I am not sure but in my opinion though I have done no research into why he was found guilty to the supreme court level, it seems his Freedom of Speach was violated.

Now goverment has unlimited resources to prosecute him again for criminal contempt and he has 'virtually' no worldwide assets, appealing for donations for his legal defense fund. He wants to reward contributions depending on amount with several meetings and personal coaching options this October, 2013.

    1: get off pharmaceuticals 100%
    2: the food you eat is important
    3: your physical environment
    4: you social environment (bad stress) this is actually #1
    (this from memory as its been some time since I read the book)
    
    The fact that the book does not sell any products or gimmicks herbal or otherwise as cures is what makes it great. The fact that he claims the law forbid him to mention any specific products was a hidden bonus in disguise.
    
    If you and other disappointed people like you were looking for the magic pill then I can see how you all were so disappointed and missed the real and most basic solution to where to start to heal all diseases.
    
    My book purchase included some free newletters and brief access to the website, and there was not much advice on his website that you couldnt get much more good info for free elsewhere on the web if you did some research. I feel sorry for you if you feel cheated all this time, and as the book might indicate - this negative feelings you have is bad for your health (stress)

  Kevin Trudeau may have introduced many people to alternative cures, but he is a scammer of the highest order who would screw his own mother over for a buck, imo, and he deserves to be penniless considering all the people he has ripped off in his greedy life. There is a very good reason that he has led the internet year after year in complaints for hooking people into signing up for recurring charges that take forever to get off your credit cards and other schemes.
  
  Anyone who wants to know the truth about Trudea should read back in this forum (and disregard the Trudeau agents who have posted and been shot down at every turn).

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A federal appeals court in Chicago threw out a 30-day jail sentence and criminal contempt citation for a television pitchman who incited fans to flood a federal judge with email testimonials.

The U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals found that U.S. District Judge Robert Gettleman overstepped his authority in punishing Kevin Trudeau , after receiving more than 300 emails to his computer and BlackBerry in 36 hours, including some with threatening overtones.

Trudeau could still face criminal contempt proceedings if Gettleman refers the case to federal prosecutors.

Thursday's ruling also leaves intact the civil contempt citation the judge imposed against Trudeau for violating terms of a 2004 Federal Trade Commission settlement with his book, "The Weight Loss Cure 'They' Don't Want You to Know About."

The appeals court last August upheld that citation, saying Trudeau repeatedly distorted the weight-loss program's content in infomercials, but threw out a $37.6 million fine and three-year infomercial ban.

Saying "Trudeau cannot be trusted," Gettleman on April 16 reimposed the fine. He also modified the 2004 settlement to require Trudeau to post bond before running some infomercials, clarify the ban against misleading advertising, and extend compliance requirements for 10 years. Trudeau is appealing.

Trudeau has long battled federal regulators over his marketing of "cures" for such things as AIDS, hair loss, memory loss, obesity and financial distress. He remained free pending his appeal, and has appeared on infomercials in recent months.

Kimball Anderson, a Winston & Strawn LLP partner who represents Trudeau, in an interview said he was pleased the appeals court found the summary contempt finding "an abuse of the district court's discretion."

THREATENING EMAILS

Writing for the appeals court on Thursday, Judge John Tinder found that Gettleman erred in concluding on February 17 that criminal contempt had occurred in his presence.

Tinder said Gettleman did not actually witness contemptuous conduct and had to do research to learn how his email address was located.

(The address was at the time listed on the website of Northwestern University's law school, where the judge is an adjunct professor.)

Tinder also faulted Gettleman for putting Trudeau "in something of a bind" by asking about his role in the emails, showing the judge expected Trudeau to incriminate himself.

"Because the conduct occurred outside the judge's presence and, rather than being forced to stop proceedings by Trudeau's behavior, the judge had to actually convene proceedings in order to get Trudeau before the court, summary contempt should never have been an option here," Tinder wrote.

While most of the emails to Gettleman were polite, one said "may god touch you today," and another said "you have sold your souls for power and wealth, and eternal spiritual destruction awaits those who condemn the righteous."

The FTC and federal prosecutors took no official position on the criminal contempt judgment, Tinder wrote.

The case is Federal Trade Commission v. Trudeau, U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, No. 10-1383.
