That’s depletion of your glutathione stores, right there. Alcohols are meant to be used medicinally with the live bacteria that created the beer, wine, etc, still in them.

The byproducts like ethyl acohol, acetaldehyde, and other complex sugars left over in your drinks are stuff the system's got to process again and again, and meanwhile, you're peeing out your water soluable nutrients and minerals- especially the sulfur-rich thiamine which is one of the building blocks of the immune system. Candida doesn't do well with internal environments rich in sulfur nutrients, but once those levels are low, they come right in and feast on the remaining nutrients.
Once that's happening, you get numbyness. Take a look at thiamine on wikipedia, and you'll get the gist of what it does for the CNS, among many other organs of the body. It's an co-enzyme (like many in the b-group) which comes from the husks of wheat and rice and a lot of other foods.
Supplementing is not a great plan, but it can help
IF you are 100% willing to CHANGE those habits.
Alcohol in moderation is pleasant, but in the quantities that are contributing to your problems, it's acting as a growth trigger for opportunistic infections. Your system is recycling it's stored fatty acids and B-nutrients to process the junk from the excess alcohol, and it's taking them from the least vital parts of your central nervous system the peripheral nerves. A lot of fatty acids are stored in the bones too, and I get the feeling you don't wanna dance with the devil and deplete those structures too.
One of our good friends locally had a certain devil-may-care attitude about his body, and he ended up with spinal meningitis after 3 years of consistent weekend drinking.. It showed up first as chronic depression, and naturally his doc put him on antidepressants (a common treatment for neuropathy, beware of citalopram, it's loaded with bromide and flouride) without giving him a good shaking up for the activities pulling down his well-being. His name is Rene, he's an awesome guy, but he got to the state where he had to write a list of goals to achieve for each day so he could continue at least a little work at his profession, carpentry. There were emotional burdens he had to deal with on the side too, but that's one of the things we get away from with a good buzz, yeah?
I dunno.
How's the thrush and sensations in the mouth after a month without drink?
I know I'm straight to the point, but.. 9_9 (looking up to read again..)
Oh yeah! Flu shots!
That's viral infestation, they love hiding in candida colonies. And the vaccine preservative, a nice sneaky shot of mercury for your time and money. Vaccines carry viral particles and antigens in, yes, but once you put viral particles under high-EMF environments, you get spontaneous mutation. (Cue James Bond theme)... Isn't american EMF codes genius? (That is story you can google for fun, the americans VS the russians in their ambassadorial buildings, the Russians tried to convince the americans that EMF noise be bad[der than the Americans though].)
Zinc, vitamin C, cod liver oil and clean living are nicely antiviral.
And... I do hope Dr Bakker gets a chance to reply to you, because I'm interested in his perspective too.
