  For the past few days I have been looking at what is on the Internet in regard to the use of free form amino acids to treat various disorders and addictions.
  
  Although various search engines show differing results, and using more than one search engine might further help a person that has any particular condition shown, I thought that I would list at least one search engine result in this blog.
  
  The following is what a Yahoo search engine returned for a number of illness and addiction situations:

    I wish I knew how to take these things. I'm testng GABA which does nothing. Tyrosine, does nothing, dhpl, does nothing. The only thing that works is L-tryptophan, but your not suppsed to take it during the day? WTF? If I take 1000mg at night, I seem to get brain zaps. I'm on no other meds except klonazepam, .5mg which I only take 1/2 of in a panic. I usually take about 1/2 of a .5mg in a day as I'm usually panicky in the car.

    So this morning I took b complex and about 800mg l-tryptophan. I felt great for like 3 hours. Then around noon time, it comes back. So what am I to do during the day?

    The way up dot com recommends up to 6000mg at night. But I get all weird if I go past 1000mg.

    I wish there was a doctor that could help me. I'm broke, live in MA. Theres nothing around here except medical guessers who want you on zoloft. 37 years of pain. If I had no wife, no kids, I would be gone, In a second. I've *****NG HAD IT.

      There’s no reason why you can’t take tryptophan during the day. Just start with a tiny dose. I put it under my tongue so I can assess how it feels more quickly.

  Hi all, I've been doing home FMT since Nov 2016 to treat Bipolar 1 disorder.
  
  Much to the amazement of everyone, including my Psychiatrist, my symptoms have all but disappeared and my Psychiatrist has agreed to help me get off my meds (unheard of).
  
  I have experienced profoundly debilitating mental illness for 20 years and was told I'd have a mental illness for the rest of my life.
  
  Have you heard of anyone else trying FMT for bipolar? I seem to be the only one I can find online..but I just don't believe that I am the first one to try this.
  
  
  I'm currently weaning off ALL psych medication right now. I never really thought this would be possible in my lifetime. the power of poo!

    My teenage daughter started suffering mental illness; severe anxiety, auditory and tactile hallucinations, and worse. She had it for 7 months straight with no meds working. I got her FMT and by the second week it was waning and by the third week her symptoms ceased and have not returned. It's been 4 months. It was nothing short of a miracle. I believe she had PANS (pediatric auto-immune neuro-psychiatric syndrome). I have not heard of anyone treating PANS this way but my gut (no pun intended) told me to try it.

  Bipolar disorders are brain disorders that cause changes in a person’s mood, energy and ability to function. Bipolar disorder is a category that includes three different conditions — bipolar I, bipolar II and cyclothymic disorder.
  
  People with bipolar disorders have extreme and intense emotional states that occur at distinct times, called mood episodes. These mood episodes are categorized as manic, hypomanic or depressive. People with bipolar disorders generally have periods of normal mood as well. Bipolar disorders can be treated, and people with these illnesses can lead full and productive lives.
  
  Symptoms
  There are several types of bipolar and related disorders. They may include mania or hypomania and depression. Symptoms can cause unpredictable changes in mood and behavior, resulting in significant distress and difficulty in life.
  
  Bipolar I disorder. You've had at least one manic episode that may be preceded or followed by hypomanic or major depressive episodes. In some cases, mania may trigger a break from reality (psychosis).
  Bipolar II disorder. You've had at least one major depressive episode and at least one hypomanic episode, but you've never had a manic episode.
  
  Cyclothymic disorder. You've had at least two years — or one year in children and teenagers — of many periods of hypomania symptoms and periods of depressive symptoms (though less severe than major depression).
  Other types. These include, for example, bipolar and related disorders induced by certain drugs or alcohol or due to a medical condition, such as Cushing's disease, multiple sclerosis or stroke.
