In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I am also facing the same situation dear.
I thought to join the job and searching for the job I like the most. When I am facing the interview in my liked field I am explaining that I can do any job easily understands quickly and as I am having interest in learning new thing so currently I have taken this offer.
Another thing I understood it that we have work so hard to manage both by knowing current updates in liked profession and current work.
I agree that all the money in the world can't make you happy. I commend you for taking a huge paycut to do something that you enjoyed doing. I would have finish my degree more than 10 yrs ago had I not been hooked up on money. I changed my major in school a couple of times thinking, "I'm not going to go in to that because it does not have a high enough starting pay, so let me just drop and study some other profession."
Believe you me, it has gotten me nowhere. If I had just followed my counselor's advice yrs ago when she said, go into something you like to do instead of something that pays well and you find it is not for you. I am miserable right now.
I would tell any young person starting out in school to not look at the starting pay. Def. go for something you know you will like because you will be happier in the long run, otherwise you will be unhappy in a dead end job.
i'm a convicted felon in maryland and i can find a job to save my life literally.....
for the past six months, i've been searching for a job drastically and replies have been scarce. i am truly not content with unemployment and any wise words would be truly appreciated..

While inter-bank lending rates have fallen since Congress approved the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program on Oct. 3, most bank lending to consumers remains tight and interest rates high. The average credit-c ... [This message is long. Retrieve the whole message]
