Candidiasis and the herxheimer reaction
Hello Dr Lam,
I have some questions about the die-off process please.
How can it be that the die-off lasts for days or weeks - but according to my doctor it will take about 6 months to kill the candidiasis?
Surely for the next five or so months candidiasis will continue to die - so why will I not be experiencing the die-off all that time?
By way of background,
I am a 31 year old male. I am in about week 4-5 of taking anti-fungals, probiotics, milk thistle, charcoal, amongst other supplements, and following a strict diet.
The worst of the die-off - fever, terrible moods, insomnia, loss of appetite, etc., appear to have stopped. The muscle pain has lessened.
Yet the fatigue is overwhelming. I only just have the energy to cook and clean for myself. (it has been like this for about a year and a half - but I was expecting it to lessen after the die off.) And I feel weepy and feel like crying about nothing. My concentration is very bad. I can hardly focus on TV shows.
There is still a lot of candidiasis in my stools. In fact I really like seeing it - it appears to be the one piece of evidence that I am achieving something.
Many thanks in advance
