Sh-h-h...
The fledge is supposed to be doing stuff like packing up and moving, and sorting, and garage selling, and cleaning...and sleeping...and gardening.
But, you guys are just so interesting.
And, when you say something so important...like avocadoes...well, I just gotta know more.
Someone once said that avocadoes are 'the butter that grows on trees'. I've often thought that they were a no-no because they are so rich. You know...something that good just has to be fattening, right?
In early days, when I was just starting to learn about pH balance, etc., the lists I found said avocadoes were in-between acidic. Now I see where they are an important source of good fats. And, my husband will share one with me...just a spoon and a little good salt.
So, to hear that they actually help things move along in the body is heartening, and causes me to speculate about all the good fats we consume.
I've also been thinking lately that the tiniest bit of castor oil like 1/8th of a teaspoon, first thing in the morning on a day when a person can stay near the bathroom, might be a good thing to try. Maybe with a small amount of combined lemon and orange juice...and followed by sipping four cups of hot water...then, maybe, a sip of buttermilk or Bio-K when we want to stop the laxative action...?
And some lovely fresh salad greens with avocado and home-sprouted mung bean sprouts. A nice piece of fish. Some brown rice. Maybe some fresh pineapple and papaya.
It's just speculation on my part, of course, but I'm thinking of great good energy and slimming!
When I was a very little girl, I thought of being a nurse, to take care of people. Here and there, over the decades since, I have been called on to help. I've come up with some pretty good ideas sometimes...and a constant attitude of 'fixing' mankind's ills.
Little did I suspect that I would need to 'fix' and care for myself. I was invincible, wasn't I?
It is a joy to learn there actually are ways.
Sharing experiences is a wonderful thing.
My best,
Fledgling
