I've been dealing with Adrenal problems now for over 3 years due to my high energy nature as a teenager and extremely un
healthy Diet & lifestyle. It hit a low point in Summer of 2005 when I was barely able to get out of bed, or talk, or basically function. I suffered with that state for over 6 months until I started researching more into it. At first glance, I thought for sure I had Candida.. so as desperate as I was, I immediately began treating it. I cut out all sugars, began extreme cleansing rituals, antifungal supplements, etc. I continued with this strictly for over 6 months until I realized that I wasn't feeling any better. I basically just gave up for another 4 months until I remembered reading about Adrenal Fatigue.. and having just went through a very, very, very stressful year due to my Mother's schizophrenic episode, I was very hopeful upon reading into this subject matter. I began treating the Adrenal Fatigue immediately as I did with the Candida scare a year ago. I began to feel better and better... but I was still very sick and "loopy." I would have very good days, and I would have very bad days. The extremity between them pointed me towards that something else was wrong. I began to notice that when I would go on a short fruit/vegetable fast, I felt HUGE relief. This is when I came across the fact that HYPOGLYCEMIA is a very common symptom of Adrenal Fatigue. I immediately went on the diet, and low & behold this was what was causing my extreme problems. Although I did have much mental relief, I still had bad hypoglycemia episodes that were nearly unbareable. I continued taking the adrenal supplements.
Now, a month later.... I haven't felt this great since Year 2003. I feel that I jump leaps ahead every single day. My hypoglycemic attacks are not even close to how bad they were before. The worst I feel when I have one is a slight hunger in my stomach and blurry vision/brain fog.. but this immediately goes away once I eat something.
Before, I wasn't even capable of saying a full sentence without stopping midsentence or slurring my words. Now I am able to have full conversations with very descriptive words.
Before, reality seemed very distant. It always felt like I was in a dream. I would look at my parents and I would freak out because it just seemed so unnatural to be talking to a human. It was very frightening. But now, I am able to look at my parents and know that this is all real. I feel connected to the earth again.
Before, I barely had the energy to walk. My body felt like a ton of bricks. Now when I get up and walk, my body feels very light and flexible.
Before, I could never make a connection with anyone. I couldn't feel anything besides sadness. Now I recently have met someone that has touched my heart and soul in a way that I haven't felt in my entire lifetime. I feel extreme optimism again.
Before, I use to cry spontaneously and snap at people, especially my parents. I was constantly irritable and reclusive. Now I have actually been talking to them and maybe even enjoying each other's company. I have a big sense of humor, so communicating for me is basically having me being funny. My humor has also returned.
I will say that I do believe I have some more way to go.. things feel really good, but not completely 100%.. but I am very hopeful and I am so glad to have found out about this terrible problem and have it treated at such an early age.
For those of you suffering, I recommend this regimen. Others may protest against it, but this is what has been working for me.
MOST IMPORTANT: Immediately go on a HYPOCYLEMIA DIET. You will not be able to recover without doing so. No caffeine, no
Sugar of any type, no starches, no alcohol! Must be VERY STRICT. No glucose tablets/quick fixes. Only vegetables, fresh meat, and eggs for now.
Right After Awaking

IMPORTANT: If you cannot afford most of the supplements listed above. I'd recommend taking a multi-vitamin instead of the vitamins seperately. I'd also recommend to include these in the most important category:
(1) Rhodiola Rosea/Korean Ginseng (I really started improving quickly when I started using these.. I don't know which one has helped the most, but they work well together)
(2) Licorice Tea/Capsules (to help restore cortisol levels)
(3) Adrenal Extract (to get things moving quickly. you can't make a batter without adding some flour!)
(4) L-Tyrosine/Vitamin B Complex (work together to help produce adrenal hormones)
For some, thyroid problems may also be connected to the adrenal problems. I'd recommend taking kelp tablets/thyroid extract along with the regimen in this case.
This is the regimen that has helped me recover so quickly. I don't believe I am overdoing it, as many of you might say. I'm just saying that this is how I'm seeing improvement and I am going to continue with it as I improve light year levels every week. Within a month, I should be completely resolved.
