How I feel about Oil Pulling

I just realized something last night. If Oil Pulling were a product in a business, I would be the top salesperson in the company. The thing that makes a good salesperson is absolute passion for their product. Also the belief that the product will deliver.
One year only into this thing they call natural healing I have tried numerous things, but OP was the first thing that made me see almost instant results. How often can you say that about anything?
So it hit me last night, I am that salesperson. I now feel incredulous when someone does not want to do this? I remember at the beginning, I was almost apologetic about OP to people, saying things like "I know it's wacky" or some such thing. I've dropped that. I think that the amount of people, on this forum and throughout the internet, doing this has given OP a rightful place amongst solid natural health modalities.
And I can see that the people of this forum get what I just wrote. It seems that you also are quite curious when someone won't OP. Almost like....what's wrong with you? just try it. LOL...
You are all over the place. The OP forum group has not just spread out all over CZ, but all over the internet all over the world. There are two health sites in the UK started by one of our OPers. I don't even know how many more there are.
I am still shocked at the Keratosis Pilaris forum. Kebod and I just went on there to post, and figured it would last for a couple of days. I just checked yesterday, and our post has the highest rating, and has over 35K hits. Now the forum members are starting to answer questions for new people. Kebod goes on there regularly to help.
So... OP. Wow. Who would have even imagined. What a curious and precious gift we've been given.
Swish Oil, Eat Oil, Wear Oil....spew on.

You are a true teacher. Having spread the word, and those taking up the practice now teaching others. It must feel very uplifting and humbling at the same time.
I see this among my family and friends... not only that, those around me that now OP are MUCH easier to get along with than they used to be. I am wondering if it made that much of a difference in my behavior and theirs.
I think Trapper said that the 20 minute vow of silence may have some sort of great healing aspect as well. Maybe a meditative state...

You go, girl! How can anyone not "believe" in it? Try it, I sez! It is easy, inexpensive and gives noticible results. Now I have not had the amazing results that some of the folks here have, but I've also been liver flushing, bowel cleansing, blah blah blah. What I HAVE gotten are AMAZING dental benefits. My teeth are at least 2 shades whiter, I do not have ANY plaque. And OP in the AM definitly jump-starts my metabolism. Another benefit is that this has opened my eyes to the world of wonderful oils, the benefits of fatty acids, etc...I'm making my own body cream now for cry-iy! My skin looks great, very fine texture. My hair looks...well, magnificent is the word that comes to mind:) Seriously, we live in a DRY climate and the VISIBLE benefits of this OP are amazing.

This is a reply to # 810,747I like OP...the next wacky thing to try is urine therapy. I OP this morning and my mouth feels great. The hole where they pulled my tooth is almost closed up and now I'm OP again to keep disease out of it. Right after I'm done OPing I brush my teeth with salt I powdered in a coffee grinder. I take my morning tea afterwards. I stopped drinking coffee and I'll see how OPing helps me with that.

This is a reply to # 810,775Briefly looked. didn't locate. I think someone's post said OP helped lessen her cravings for sweets and other unhealthies during the holidays. In the post from bradley re the find on the German trip, I believe some of the testimonies had statements about reduction in cravings/appetites.

This is a reply to # 810,775It does help with my cravings. Sometimes I crave fresh squeezed grapefruit juice in the evening. It seems my cravings have changed from wanting junk to wanting the good stuff. I take 2 tbsp of oil a day too. That may help the cravings if you want to try that.

This is a reply to # 810,775I don't know if anybody else mentioned it, but I did post earlier about how looking at two whole tables-full of sweets at work for Christmas just didn't look all that appetizing. (And what was so weird is that I don't even really have strong cravings to start with. This was more like anti-cravings.)

It's a shocker! We get OP. We see the concept. We understand it, and it's not something newly invented. OP shares that 5,000 year history with Ayuvedic medicine!! And, What about the Russian folk remedy traditions? This is a reply to # 810,747I can't help but tell all my friends about OP. Recently, after waxing about the many benefits, a friend responded, "You sound just like a commercial!" I shut up, and she said she would try it... :) In all, eight family members and friends are doing OP regulary since I preached the oily gospel. Then there's the KPers, bless them, trying whatever they can to end their skin disorder.
An added benefit is that I was inspired to further clean up my act -- no more coffee, chocolate, ice cream, pharmaceuticles or toothpaste.
Because of the many good suggestions routinely posted here, I started salt water flushing, the Water Cure , alkaline eating, and am preparing for my first liver cleanse. I learned about EFA's and now eat oil everyday -- ground flax seeds, walnuts, tinned sardines, avocados, pumpkin seeds and olive oil. As a result, I have gained weight, which I needed to do, and have no desire for sweets and my other former food treats. My newest good food is fresh aloe vera, blended with fruit juice.
Where this will end, I don't know, but OP was the door. Thank you to this forum for the support and advice I needed to get started.

This is a reply to # 810,747I've done OP many times with olive, sesame, coconut and safflower oils and really really wish I was noticing the same benefits as everyone else...and yet I read the posts on the forum and think "maybe next time" and keep on doing it. It does help my teeth feel clean I guess.
