Thanks for you input. You actually gave some advice! the pound gave him a pill (they said injection at first then they gave him a pill). They are pretty useless there - but I am going to take him back again and demand that they treat him. I don't have a problem taking a dog to the vet and paying vet bills (as others would seem to suggest). I am ot however willing to have a dog suffer all of its life for a serious illness and destroy the entire floor in teh process. It is misery for us and for the dog - my daughter can play with him and he does not feel good. Aslo we adopted him, so he is covered for treatment there. They gave him a clean bill of health when we adopted him and clearly he does not. I want to exhaust all options there first.
Are you sure about pills not working for tapeworms? He seems very healthy and sparky oher than his vomiting. He is always VERY hungry no matter how much you feed him. We are feeding him with
Science diet now and have basically gone through all of the other foods (including chicken). We have not cleaned the carpets and he is a house dog so he does not spend that much time outside in the grass (only on walks).
What concerens me is that he will start yelping in teh middle on teh night and barfing all over. Coudl a
Tapeworm do something like this? He just seems so healthy other than his inability to gain weight and vomiting. He eats like a horse. We try to only give him small amounts, but now he vomits with those too. I am going to persue the
Tapeworm thoery.
