Cheer up and just move on. Whether you think of yourself as starting over or whether you just keep counting, move on and don't worry about the past. Regardless of whether you gain a little weight (and don't obsess about that), if you get back on the fast you will definitely CONTINUE to lose weight. Consider that many people here are doing juice fasts, which is kind of like eating fruit, at least in terms of the calories, and these people still have great weight loss results. Of course, eating fruit doesn't really fit in if you are trying to do a water fast, but for so many things in life, making a good effort and compromising a little bit along the way will get you great results while being too strict with yourself when you do not do everything perfectly will not.
Don't be discouraged.
I fasted for 24 days and then broke my fast in a bad way. I ate starchy foods and felt awful. But I got right back on the fast, with two days of some tea and broth and then back to water, and I've been back for 6 days. I do have to say that it's taking me about a week to lose the weight I gained during the fast (although some of it may be that I started my period), but what can you do but move on? At least now I know what the repercussions are of not coming off the fast right. I'm sure that since you only ate a couple of pieces of fruit you will not have a lot of weight gain as a result or will lose it very quickly again.
