Hi Everyone,
Before I started reading the dream forum, I had always thought my dreams were just jibberish, I never could make anything out of them, but now I try to make a conscious effort remember them. Early this morning about 4:00am I had avery vivid dream about our family pets, the ones we had when I was a kid, a Dauchsund and a calico cat. I don't know what they were doing in this dream because my husband was with me here and we don't have any pets. Anyway, in the dream, I'm grown up and with my husband. We seemed to have been gone for some time and had come home to find our pets laying on the carpet sleeping side by side and they seemed like they could hardly move, they could hardly get up. I said to my husband,"oh my, we forgot to get someone in to feed and water the pets while we were gone". Wierd so far I know...So I rushed into the kitchen and got each of them a bowl of water to which they drank all and they were still thirsty so I ran to get more. Then, they seemed happy to see us and then the cat and dog started to lick each others faces. Bizarre Yes?.... Anybody have a clue what this could mean?

oooooh, I love this symbolism. I often dream of cats and dogs and know what they symbolize for me. Dream books don't match - so I'll tell you what I get for it and you can see if it resonates.
Cats I see as my feminine, intuitive, subconscious/inner Self. Dogs I see as my masculine, rational, conscious/outer Self.
Your dream seems to be showing you that you have been neglecting your Self (your WHOLE self) for too long. You need nourishment! ....and Water! The water was what revived them from their hibernation/slumber/unconsciousness. A part of you is thirsty for spiritual nourishment (water). That the dog and cat ended up looking happy and licking each others faces is amazingly positive! Your intuitive/subconscious self and your rational/conscious self are paying attention to each other...communicating. A long slumbering part of you has awakened Dianna!
A dream of awakening...

This is a reply to # 602,158Tracey I think this one is also female/male becoming one, through spiritual nourishment, both cat's required the living water to awake to their purpose.

This is a reply to # 602,240Thanks so much....I think I'm going to cry. Yes, I did feel good from this dream, and your interpretations fit so well. The dream just came out of knowhere, as I guess most do. I've been feeling so emotional lately I think because I have been embracing my spiritual connection with God and have accepted spiritual and internal healing as well, it's so wonderful.
I have done a lot of self forgiveness, and I have also dumped a lot of anger that I have carried with me for years, mainly anger associated with family. Yes, I think thd dog and cat have something to do with self nurturing and maybe even finally forgiving myself for my past wrongs. I am learning to move on, I am most certainly on the right path. Hopefully I have made some sense here.

I'm glad for you too Dianna. I'm going thru the same myself particularly dealing with judging people and myself as well. I now use that energy (a great one it was) and transmute it to intuition will helps me deal with those things and people I don't understand. I hope as well as the internal spiritual cleansing you take care of its counterpart (internal cellular cleansing) both mental as well as physical toxins are eliminated. As you take in purer physical nourishment so it is with the spiritual.

Hy my name is Helena. Your dream seams so plesent hope you learn and understand it's true meaning. Last night I dreamt about buying white dog it was so cute,playful not so big not so small, proportional, shine hair. He played along with my black cat they looked so harmonius together,lick each other, sleep together,play,eat,becoming sigl of jin and jang. They cared for each other and me.
