I sent Julia Chang an e-mail about the
Epsom Salts , bile and olive oil. She does have her masters in Chemistry. With what she has posted back, I still feel that the majority of my stones have been real. And I do question what happens to this "theory" when absolutely no stones are passed and the same procedure is followed.
"Hello, Beverly.
it is true that
Epsom Salts can form stones with bile and olive oil. The "fake" stones formed this way are usually round, with smooth surfaces and a light green colour. Real stones are irregularly shaped, except for calcium stones which are usually black and pea-shaped.
Epsom Salts are also quite harsh on the kidneys, but they should not bother you if you have healthy kidneys.
Epsom salts do help to dilate the ducts. If a stone is stuck, epsom salts may be the only way to dislodge it unless you have Coptis, Curcuma, and GCG with you. For more detail, please read section 3 of my homepage under the heading
"if a stone gets stuck on its way out".
Epsom salts can still form "fake stones" if they are completely dissolved, because their chemical structure is unchanged. "Fake stones" can theoretically be any size, but they are usually small. If you felt good after your flush, you most likely had a good flush, regardless of what solid ejecta you detected.
