Since the forum is still open I thought I’d take advantage and ask for your insight one more time. Hope it's ok; we really appreciate the knowledge you share with us on this forum!
I have been having thoughts lately that the tension surrounding my 3rd eye – tension and stress which does not allow me to relax and fills my mind with constant chatter- is somehow related to the issue of death, and specifically, death by drowning.
I have, from a young age, had recurrent dreams of the sea slowly creeping over my family’s summerhouse, a place where I have spent many carefree summers and come in touch with nature for the first time. The sea approaches the house slowly and menacingly, like a silent tsunami, rising to wash everything away. In later years I have come to associate the sea with consciousness and the dreams as an indication that some change is about to happen in me. In some dreams recently I have become less the passive observer, and more the active participant. I have pushed the waves back with the power of my mind, at the same time totally in awe of my powers to do so. And more recently I have felt the fear of the incoming waves leave me, as if I know that even if they cover me and I drown I shall not stop existing. It's like lately I feel the fear of surrendering to death leave me, but I am not quite there yet...
Do you think there is a possibility I experienced drowning in a past life? As a young child I was never afraid of the sea, but a few years later this suddenly reversed and I started associating the ocean with decay (especially after being "traumatised" by watching an old version of "Titanic" at age eight). For my teenage and later adult years I have had unknown anxieties every time I leave the shore for deeper waters.
The inability to let go is also why I have never been able to surrender during lovemaking, although much progress has been made lately. However, ever since my last liver flush a couple of weeks ago I feel the tension on my 3rd eye receding, but am afraid to let go and experience what changes in consciousness may come...
I feel I should mention that I also had a peak experience a few years back with a hallucinogen. This experience was a gift and is the reason I am healing myself today. The peak of the experience lasted only a day, but the aftermath and heightened awareness stayed with me for a couple of months. During that time I experienced the unknown before terror that I was losing my mind.
That fear, of losing my mind and drowning, is still here with me today. Do you think it is in any way karmic, and related to the dreams I have been having since childhood?

This is a reply to # 496,747Yes, Louise. You answered your own questions by stating them. As it so often happens, a question contains its answer like a seed contains its flower or tree. You have good intuition, which is but the ability to know the connectedness of things, times and events. Past lives are no less in the past as this present moment is. They simply occur in other time lines or time dimensions that we call "the past." Usually, such karmic past life incidents as your drowning in the sea don't come to the surface of a person's attention before one has reached a certain age.
The purpose of karma is to grow through one's past experiences, which cannot be expected to happen in the first few years when consciousness is not differentiated enough yet. Then something like a movie can act as a trigger to help take the soul memory and translate it into cellular memory. This allows you to physicaly feel the memory as emotion, fear of drowning, fear of death, fear of losing control etc. The emotion gives you the opportunity to deal with the karma and pass through it, and to free yourself of the underlying fear. When I do Sacred Santemony for people, I am often able to help complete that process or at least accelerate it. People have reported to have lost their fear of heights or water after such a session because we have brought an old cycle to a conclusion; hence the fear is no longer necessary.
Life itself is a process of transforming one's fears, worries, doubts, etc. into their opposites. When this happnes, what was pereceived as a threat before, is now no longer threatening. The so called negative situations in life, which we tend to see problems, are simply modes of perception, or points of view. Since you are the point that is doing the viewing, you can consciously decide what you want to see when you see a problem. The effect that results from your viewing of your viewing is your own making. In other words, if you see a certain situation as a problem it will assume that reality for you just by seeing it that way. Therefore, there is no victim in any of this, just the opportunity to grow stronger, wiser and happier.
Difficulties are opportunities, not obstacles. Facing death while being alive can greatly enrich you. It is one of the greatest masteries to lose the fear of death and dying while ypou are alive. It leads to the knowingness that death is actually birth, and being born is more like dying. I died three times in this lifetime, just like my father did before he departed 35 years ago. Returning to this body or being born into a human body feels more like being put into a straight jacket, and dying feels like being released from it. Everything in this world is exactly opposite to how we perceive it, and it is for us to see both the illusion and the real thing and not have a problem with either of these.

Yes, I feel I am facing death and am beginning to lose fear in him. I too believe that death is freedom; freedom from all the limitations we have placed on ourselves; freedom from restrictions; freedom to expand, to contract, to Vanish, or to Be.
Because I am a woman, connecting with my female side and especially my monthly cycle has brought on a depth of intuition that I have never experienced before. Communing with my cycle and nature has helped me accept and not fear transformation.
I am slowly giving voice to the feminine inside me, and She is instructing me. This is a voice that I feel we women have lost over the ages. Sometimes I feel lonely down this road of treasuring the darkness and the descent into the abyss of Soul, because it seems as if everyone, even my fellow women, bestow all their attention on the "light" side of life, the "positive", the "uplifting", the "ascension upwards"; whereas I value equally the descent downwards, into Earth, as one of the most beautiful embraces and homecomings we can ever experience.
Sometimes I feel I need to scream that the "negative" has a value that is not to be ignored, and that darkness, like death, is just a point of view, that becomes frightening when one creates it out of fear. Like every woman approaching her monthly menstruation knows, "thinking positive" and escaping what is inside of us just isn't enough to release the tension and frustration we feel. But once we let go, give our darker (ie.hidden) emotions voice and pass through them, give the void space, and let the tears flow, our sadness magically disappears and we regain wholeness once more. This cycle is my drowning, and this is how I know I feel I shall dance through it.
Once again, thank you from the depths of my heart. You are a very kind and wise person.

I am breaking out of a 12 year cycle of deep depression....incapacitating depression, and all the fears and self doubts have risen up in me the last couple of days, saying "you are headed back there. You can't stop it." And interestingly, my menstrual cycle started just yesterday. (I never keep track...is there a correlation that you've noticed).
Somehow, I have to grasp what you are saying, without giving into, and going into the incapaciting hole of depression...it is for me a mental battle.
You replied to one of my postings on another forum--you called me 'brave'. Namaste. I went back and reread it yesterday, because it was reassuring, and gave me a healthier perspective. It is my challange to change the pattern, to choose mental health, to see the 'lemonaid' in this whole issue. When one is at a brink, as I feel so clearly I am, one can fall in the abyss, or fly. What I can't seem to grasp, is that either would be a learning experience, however, for my growth and well being, I need/want/yearn to 'fly'. To break out of the depression cycle. To still the self doubts and the fears. To pass through the shadows, and emerge, quickly, on the other side. To experience the 'lightness' and easiness. To let go of the 'dis-ease'.
It is good to 'walk along the path' with another. Thank you Louise.

Also, a favourite book of mine is "The Wise Wound - Menstruation and Everywoman" by Penelope Shuttle & Peter Redgrove. This is currently out of print, but you can find it on abebooks.com
To summarise for you: when a woman approaches her "dark moon" phase, ie. menstruation, she is going through a phase which will eventually lead her to a "death" and "rebirth" experience. A few days, or ever a couple of weeks, before their menstruation, women experience what has mistakenly been defined by modern medicine as Premenstrual Syndrome. In reality, this is not a Syndrome, but a natural event in which emotional issues that have been lying dormant & repressed inside a woman request to "see the light" and be acknowledged.
If a woman does not pay attention to this natural phase in the month, which calls her to retreat inwardly and descend into what is hidden in order to reveal her personal truths to herself, then these repressed emotions have no "choice" but to seek outlet and demonstrate themselves (without the woman's conscious control) as irritability, depression, frustration, lower back pain, constipation etc.
Even so, through venting in anger or breaking down in tears, a woman cannot help but be notified of the issues deep in her soul which are crying out for her attention.
Hence, when the bleeding starts (Dark/New Moon) the opportunity to heal, cleanse body, mind and soul and begin implementing the appropriate changes to accomodate the messages received from the soul, is waiting to be seized. If it is, then a two week period of building, nurturing and fertilising will follow; to reach culmination on the woman's ovulation period (as in the waxing, "mothering" period of the Full Moon).
Following this, the woman's body/soul will naturally open another cycle of healing and self-discovery. All that has been left unattended to, or has not been given a chance to grow during the previous waxing period, is now, once more, brought to light.
Tracking my cycle has been extremely helpful for me and has brought me much relief from many menstrual-related symptoms. Body/mind consciousness, as Andreas says, is a wonderful thing; especially for us women!
As for reaching for the light & "flying", which you mentioned: this is of course natural & very desirable when one is healing and becoming whole. Like you said, however, you can only imbue your life with light once you consciously (ie. with full awareness & without fear) pass through your own shadows. This will allow you to see that what you feared was in truth only phantoms, shadows on the wall; rejected pieces of your soul that were, all along, crying out for you not to ignore & deny them, but to love and accept them.
You ARE a brave AND wise person! I'll keep repeating it, if you don't, till you believe it! ;))

I've 'saved' the websites, but the day and responsibilites are calling,so the summary was SO valuable, and even more so, in my 'response' to you, I've taken a moment to 'write my heart', and I thank you for that as well.
I have NOT wanted my cycle to end before I understood it, and it's purposes, in fact, until I "heal". And I've learned a bit already. I've treated my cycle just as I was introduced to it as a teen by my older sisters (I really didn't have a mom from 5 on) as a miserable 'thing' I would have to put up with. And I have raised three daughters, doing slightly better, but just 'passing' it off as a bit of a nuisance.
PERSPECTIVE is EVERYTHING! And think of how our exchange, so brief, has already started changing MY perpective, and of all those who might read this and change THEIRS.

I have had severe allergies all my life. When I was born they thought I had cystic fibrosis. I have gotten better over the years by living very carefully in reguards to environment, food, therapies, supplements, hormones, emotions, etc. However I rarely go a day without excess mucous.
my first question is: what will years of swallowing mucous do to my colon, especially on an empty stomach during the night and upon waking up in the morning?
I am doing Psylium and Bentonite bowel cleanse. After I will do oxy-powder.
My other question is coming up, but first some premise: I have spent tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours trying everything from NAET to allergy drops , kinesiology, HR, acupuncture, chiropractic, naturopathy, doctors, supplements galore, elimination diets, etc... when it comes to allergies, you name it - ive done it, thought it, not thought it, etc..
My other question is: from a spiritual perspective what does this indicate? what would be your take on this? That one of this life's lessons is to master not being so "sensitive" ? Can this be healed or is it more like trying to change eye color - i.e. is it just a part of my dna/genetic makeup and I should stop trying to "cure" it?

i went for a IPL session over the weekends and after the session, i had this deep purple reddish mark the size of an eye pupil. those working there said that it would heal in a week with the cream that they gave. but it looks very red and after 2 days, there hadnt been improvement. it is not painful at all and not raised. it looks a little like a bit of blood clot underneath the skin.
i went to improve skin and now i have this. is this like me having to face my fear or something?
can i heal this with medication and manifestation and sending it love?
i used to fear death and once we had a church session where we could choose to say our greatest fear. i was quite soft spoken then but i said out loud that i feared death. and after some time, i was less afraid of fear without really realizing it until much later. i still value life and want to live to experience more, but death isnt the end. there is just so much to learn...
