It's great that you made the connection between menstrual discomfort and your bowel! Frankly, I believe that a toxic and congested colon is the root of a lot of pain and illness. Since doing
Colon Cleanses and
colonics I have had much better periods, including tremendous relief from symptoms of endometriosis.
It is wise for you to proceed slowly with cleanses given all that your body is dealing with. Fasting (MC, juice, water) can be powerful aides for healing, but are not appropriate for everyone.... particularly if a person is undernourished. Even people who are overweight can be quite undernourished. With all the conditions that you have mentioned there is a very good chance that you are deficient in a number of nutrients. Regardless of how healthy your diet is, if you are not digesting and absorbing nutrients from your food your body may be undernourished.
I would also stay away from the
Master-Cleanse until you've successfully addressed candida. The maple syrup will definitely feed the yeast. I also don't recommend laxative teas or salt flushes for anything other than very occasional use. Laxatives irritate the bowel and disrupt normal peristalsis, and salt flushes can dehydrate the body.
colonics or enemas can be used without these concerns.
Candida,
parasites and toxins can all contribute to constipation, and subsequently an increase in toxins. Recurrent yeast infections are a common indication of candida. You might want to try a candida diet and natural antifungals along with a good probiotic to address the candida. Oil of oregano, tea tree oil, garlic and caprylic acid are common natural antifungals. I've had very good responses with an herbal combination called Biocidin by Bio-Botanicals. It also improved my digestion. A
parasite cleanse would also be a good idea.
Since mucoid plaque provides a perfect haven for parasites, as well as being extremely toxic, a thorough
Colon Cleanse is essential. Make sure that you drink plenty of water when taking the psyllium/bentonite. Check out my previous post (a page or two back) on the causes of constipation and see if it gives you any clues for addressing it.
Detox reactions occur when toxins released from tissue and organs, but not able to exit the body rapidly. This often happens when the colon is congested as some toxins are re-absorbed in the colon and then re-circulate in the body. These reactions also occur when Phase II detoxification is slower than Phase I detoxification. Numerous nutrients are necessary to support each phase of detox. If you have access to a healthcare professional that carries nutritional products by Metagenics, they make a product called ClearPlus that is used in addition to your diet, or as a modified fast, and provides a good supply of nutrients specifically supporting Phase II detoxification. I have known many people to have great success using this product who experienced numerous cleansing reactions when attempting other detox methods. Unfortunately, Metagenics are not available to the general public, but you may be able to contact the company and locate someone in your area that carries them.
Hopefully, you have continued taking digestive enzymes. They are essential when your digestive system is not functioning well, and when allergies are present. They assist in breaking down food, nutrient absorption, and can help with fatigue since your digestive system does not have to work so hard. I can't begin to tell you how many people I see who pass a lot of undigested food during their colonics!
juicing is also an excellent source of enzymes and nutrients, and easily absorbed by the body.
Once you've made some headway with a
Colon Cleanse and addressed candida and parasites, a series of
Liver Cleanses would also be very beneficial to reduce your overall toxic load. However, I wouldn't attempt this until you are having normal and regular eliminations, and some of your symptoms are reduced.
It will be very important for you to alternate periods of cleansing with periods of replenishing. Candida, allergies and MCS suggest a compromised immune system and rebuilding it with good nutrition, stress management, and reduced exposures to toxins will be fundamental to restoring your health.
