i was very constipated for nearly three days with little b/m, and was beginning to get very worried. my tummy was bigger than when i began my juice fast 7 days ago. not wanting to take any addictive laxative during my detox, i searched my local markets for organic/presertive free prunes with no success. a neighbour gave me a kilo of sundried prunes this afternoon, i didn't really want to eat them at first because the lable says these prunes were preserved with potassium sorbate. but i was getting so desperate with cramps and bloatedness, i ate 10 this evening.

well boy did it work! within 5 hours i starting to feel the urge to go to the loo, and at first some green semi-gelly like stuff came out. after that my cramping was still pretty bad, so i gave myself a warm weak saline enema, and that was pretty painful cos i was sooo full in my colon! i think over 1 liter of half-digested prune/water came out and i felt so much lighter!

i weighed myself on the scale before and after me eating prunes: i've lost 2.4 kilos of waste in my bowel! unbelievable!!

now the question is, were those prunes really bad for me since they were preserved with preservative, should i rather try herbal laxative next time? and are prunes addictive?

another question, what was the green soft jelly like thing in my stool? could it be my veggie juice and psyllium? or colon mucous?

btw, i've been on a juice fast, Colon Cleanse with p&s shakes and parasite cleanse for the last 7 days.

Yes, you're right. I am sure you aren't supposed to take flax oil during a fast, but the seeds probably wouldn't bother you, but I'm not an expert on the subject. You might want to stop taking them the day before you flush. Whether it's good during a fast or not, I do think having constipation due to the fast itself defeats the purpose of a fast. You wouldn't want to get backed up from the bowels up, creating one problem while working to solve the other.

Instead, you can also try to take more psyllium husk, except twice a day if you are only doing it once. I'm no pro, but here's a couple of my concerns on the matter:

1)If you take psyllium husk, I heard you should wait at least an hour before you eat. Food moves somewhat slow too, so it would have a hard time catching up the the psyllium husk drink. However, if you are on a juice fast, the juice will catch right up to the psyllium and sit right on top of it all the way down your digestive system, would it not?

The reason I know this is because I take Threelac(a form of acidophilus) and I noticed if I take it after I take my psyllium husk (like even a couple hours later), I have die off headaches. YOu can imagine how much more powerful Threelac is when it's going down the digestive track at a psyllium s-l-o-w pace :) lol. That was one of my mini-eureka discoveries :)I get excited over the little things. It's a great trick if you want to get as much cure for your buck out of that one little packet. So I thought the juice would probably do the same thing too. You might know more if juice meeting up with psyllium in the body would be a bad thing more than I do.

2) P&B shakes are fine if your body isn't having a hard time taking them, but you don't want the juice to catch up to that bentonite. It clings to everything as if it's toxic and you don't want any mini-wars erupting in your intestines than necessary. So, just be careful:)

Maybe if you took it once in the morning and once before bed, that would work. Just pace your juices far enough away from your psyllium drinks.
