When I read your message about the 12 cans of pop a day I actually put my arms around my waste and hugged my digestive system so the organs wouldn't all be scared while I was reading it....seriously.
Not to mention what that amount of
Sugar is doing to your organs, your brain will also end up suffering dramatically later in life right and your teeth will be very affected too.
I drank a lot of Mountain Dew in college until my body actually starting rejecting it. If your body is not rejecting it that maybe you have a tougher system BUT you have to stop and I don't care if you have a friend take you away for a weekend into the wilderness far away from it (take pain killers), just do it. I actually can't even drink colas anymore at all because they actually taste too sweet and that's coming from someone who has a sweet tooth! AND you will automatically shed pounds. Depending on what you are drinking there are other things besides the sugar, the carbonation can cause extreme bone loss, and the caffeine (!) don't even get me started. Anyway, I switched to fruit juice to quit soda pop. At the time I didn't know that fruit juices were also loaded with
Sugar but I did it in stages. If you like the bubbles you can "cut" fruit juice with sparkling water and then eventually taper off to just the sparkling water and then to water. But in your case, which I think is drastic, you may want to go cold turkey just to get it overwith.
Whatever you decide, good luck good luck good luck. I mean it.
