sunne has been on a very
healthy Diet and has been doing all the
right things for her health. She has been to the ER and even
worn a heart monitor. And they found nothing wrong. She is very concerned about the symptoms she is having. She no doubt
WILL find a way to naturally heal her body of these symptoms.
But as you all know...that sometimes takes time. The quickest
way to rule out stress or "nerves" was to take something for her
nerves for a short period of time to see if that helped.
Xanax...when taken as directed is about as safe as a drug gets.
I don't recommend "drugs"...had she quickly found that this was
stress related...I would have recommended a natural way to handle it. AND knowing that's all it was...would have given her
peace of mind...and she could have slowly turned that condition
around, also.
The girl I "took off of the anti-depressant" and sent to the
doctor...was having trouble with her 'nerves'. She had contacted me many times...and I recommended several things to her. But like most people...she wanted a quick fix. So she
went to her doctor...which is the main doctor in this town...and
he put her on Paxil....she immediately got worse...to the point
of not just being 'nervous"...but having 'fits of rage". It was
unbelievable! Her husband contacted me and said she was just so
much worse...and now having 'fits of rage". I said she didn't
need an anti-depressant in the first place...she was going through a very stressful time in her life and all she needed was
to get control of her nerves. I said...to prove it to you...
take her anti-depressants away right now...call the doctor and
take her back there and insist he give her Xanax for one week.
She did as I asked. He gave her the Xanax...she took 1/2 tablet
twice a day...and within 36 hours...she was a new person. She
is now off of all meds, totally and handling her stress with
meditation and yoga.
I'm from a very close knit family. We all live within 5 miles
of each other. And we were always big on big family dinners, etc. When mom passed away 2 years ago...we just all fell apart.
My 2 sisters and I both worked at the time, but we just couldn't
stop crying...so we all went to the family doctor...who had been
moms doctor...and he put us all on Xanax. We all 3 took it for
different lengths of time. I took it the longest...I guess
because I had taken a leave from work to take care of mom...and
I saw it all and heard all her stories and fears...and I just
couldn't deal with it. My sisters took it every day...for
probably 3 or 4 months. I took it about 7 or 8 months.
When we each stopped taking it...we all just stopped! No problem...no withdrawal...no problem whatsoever. We never had
a problem with working or driving and taking it...because we were taking just a little bit at a time...just enough to keep
out nerves calmed to the point we did not cry all day at work.
I am absolutely against prescription drugs. But there is the
rare occasion where they are necessary for a short time. I feel Xanax would let sunne know...within a few days...if her
palpitations are from her nerves or stress or not. It would NOT
hurt her. And if she's on the Hallelujah program...I would
imagine she's a strong Christian and would not be mixing alcohol
or any other no-no's with the Xanax. THEN...if the palpitations
did go away...while taking the Xanax...she could have handled
her stress in a natural way.
ALL meds have side effects listed...as do many herbs and supplements. You have to be cautious about whatever you do.
The doctor in our town supports me in what I do. He has said
many times that if he wasn't so old he would go back and study
alterntive methods. He is always picking my brain about what
I would recommend for this or that. He is a wonderful doctor
and very open minded about natural healing.
Sorry everybody got in such a stir over this. I've devoted my
whole adult life to helping people. I spend hours and hours
on that each week. I am very cautious about everything I do...
and even after 28 years of this...I am constantly researching.
Everybody try to have a great day and a better tomorrow!
Life is TOOOOOOOO short to be a hysterical fuss budget! :-)
