I am always surprised as to where the heck people hear or come up with things. The books primary recomendation is tea at night SWF in the morning. Second choice is if you cant do the SWF in the morning is tea at night and in the morning.
From just a common sense view alone the SWF is the most efficient way to get the toxins out of your system as it washes the whole GI tract top to bottom.
Make sure you are drinking enough lemonade and water to stay well hydrated. Dehydration is one of the primary causes for not having eliminations while fasting.
You know everybody is different and their systems are going to react different. If lack of protein on the MC caused hair loss I'd be bald so would all the thousands that have done the MC and Sy Sperling the gradual hair replacement guy on TV would be out of business cause all folks would hafta do is start supplementing with protein so they won't loose their hair.
If you do the maximum number of drinks that would add up to 1200 calories which is hardly "starvation". Between the lemon and the syrup you are providing pretty much just about all the vitamins and minerals you need plus readily assimilable carbs that will give you energy to cope with everyday activities. Personally I would think the protein drink would keep the digestive system active. It has to how else would it process the protein.
Are you *absolutely* sure that the hair loss happened on the MC?. I've been on this forum on and off for 3+/- years and have never heard anyone claim to have lost hair on the MC.
The MC is not the only way to detox if you are absolutely sure that you are loosing hair on the MC I would consider trying a juice fast.
I always hesitate to just outright answer that kind of question cuase to me it can be the makings of an eating disorder to think of focusing of any form of fasting to that extent.
Many factors are involved including the persons state of mind. The MC is just one small part of a much bigger picture when it comes to health. It is not the way nor the only way I really think folks need to focus on their eating habits more than to focus on the MC as the cure all be all. They need to look at all the other cleanses, regular exercise and on and on.
The cleanses including the MC take the garbage out then you hafta rebuild and put the nutrients back in to rebuild. How many times depends on how long of an MC, how good the person has followed up and how diligent they were to get regular exercise to bring the metabolism back to normal. It can take 4 to 6 weeks to get the metabolism back to normal and even longer on the longer MCs and of course all this also depends of the metabolic rate of the person pre MC. Soooo the answer iiiiiiissssss.............drum rrrrrrrroll...................that there is no set answer. Whew............;+D bada boom
As far as the SWF I say if you are passing them with no prob they're fine to do every morning on the MC.
