Hello All,
I found this website while searching for answers to my current issue : Acid Reflux started Day 2 (its Day 4 now). I found some helpful older posts but my situation is a bit different in that I've always had reflux and with all my research in preparation, I never came across this issue. I'm drinking spring water and add 1/2 TBSP to the 1st cup in the morning (normal routine).
The advise I read is to not do anything and try to ride it out? So the burning of the throat won't cause any permanent damage if it continues for like 14 days (I don't have a set time-frame....but goal is at least 7 days)? Is there a point in which I should stop if it goes on for too long...how long?
Normally I would spend time reading through the forum but since I'm already on fast, I figured asking is better so that I can fix anything I'm doing wrong ASAP..
1)I'm drinking spring water but a post mentioned distilled is better?
2) Are there things I should switch like lip balm or toothpaste...I'm getting a sweetish after-taste from these which is normal but it made me wonder
3) I haven't done a #2 in a few days...but I did a colonscopy mid Jan(had to liquid fast for) and followed-up with 20/4 IF to lead up to this
Water Fast on Monday...ergo I'm pretty clean and its probably the reason why the fasting has been a breeze except the acid burn.
My reasons: Health/Healing : Neurological/Auto-immune issues, have done a 100-day Juice Fast before(acid reflux & cramping with certain veggies was an issue ergo my choice to try water instead)
