This is a reply to # 2,347,841Eucrisa works differently than other topical treatments on the market. It is not a steroid or a topical calcineurin inhibitor.
When applied to the skin, Eucrisa is thought to work on an enzyme called phosphodiesterase 4, or PDE4. PDE4 is produced by cells in our immune system and helps the body regulate inflammation.
In clinical trials, Eucrisa was shown to reduce symptoms of AD such as itching, redness, lichenification (thickened skin), weepy rash, and raw, scratched lesions. Overall, participants in the clinical trial achieved clear or almost clear skin after 28 days of use.

if any of the members on the forum are from u.s.a can you please let us know if your going to try this! i reckon this is huge! and would encourage you to go talk to your doctor about getting a prescription most people see clearing or close to clearing after a few weeks of application!

This is a reply to # 2,347,866tergot get real mate. unfortunately 90% of the posts on this forum are dribble and old theories that have been done years and years ago which fail. if your seriously trying to suggest this isn't something new and positive you have to look at yourself and ask yourself why? this forum has been going for over a decade with barely any new treatments finally we have something to look forward to and this is your response? don't get me wrong there is some stuff that is posted which is good but the reality is most of the posts are dribble and equate to nothing. i know your all about the alternative stuff at the moment and your doing diets and this and that which is great and yes it could work for you but theres been hundreds of people try diets to cure this and unfortunately 98% of them fail. and to be frank iv never said i know all the answers iv clearly made it quite clear that in my opinion i believe ec to be an inflammatory dermatits as do a fair amount of dermatologist. I am looking at myself and everything so far suggests that EC is at least in some way related to the gut. I'm curious to know why that is or isn't the case for you?

I've eliminated gluten. That is the only lasting change I have made so far to my diet and my lip peeling/inflammation reduced noticeably.

During my research you came up a lot in past threads and were involved in a lot of good discussions and after all that you end up having written everything off except the possibility of new pharma products.

This is a reply to # 2,347,871mate thats because i realised for me and like many people theres no connection.. i tried taking out gluten for 1 year i tried taking out dairy i tried taking out grains i tried doing them in combinations i tried candida diet i tried aip diet i tried vegan diet... iv done alot mate if you think ec is related to the gut due to leaky gut because you think you got an overgrowth infection or digestion problem its not rocket Science do the aip diet. invest in the paleo mom book she goes into gut related conditions and how to heal the gut in the most detail professional way i have researched. ill give you some tips buy some l glutamine buy some slippery elm buy some high expansive digestive enzymes.. iv spent thousands on naturopaths and studied hours on end. it didn't work for me and it doesn't work unfortunately for most people. thats not saying it won't work for you it quite possibly could and I'm not trying to discourage you. anyways this is going no where and were dribbling about nothing. if your not interested in this new treatment please don't comment on this topic. good luck sir

So you've been tested for gluten sensitivity and it's all come back negative?
Been tested for lyme and it's all negative?
Had stools samples/blood tests and no digestive or hormonal issues? No inflammation detected? No other issues other than EC?
Yes it is demoralising for me but I just fear whether you've had proper diagnostics with correct feedback. There is a lot to get wrong and you know that as well as I do.
I have about as much interest in stringent diet plans as you do, believe me when I say that. I've tried a few myself and it's compounded my problems and made me worse, mostly because they were calorie restrictive. Same feelings about them as you. That is why I won't change without evidence and if you are saying you have evidence that your EC is nothing other than atopic dermatitis then yeah that shuts me up.
As I must have said before the value is in the quantitive data and some tests are only accessible through naturopathes (as you know), that doesn't mean I am expecting miracle cures from these alternative health people. I'm not. I value their access to tests I can't have through the state. Their suggestions and diet plans I can devise myself with the help of the net and this board and it's users.
I've also spent the equivalent of about $1500 on this so far but the vast bulk of that has been for quantitive testing and not consultations. If I could deal with a lab myself who would do tests for me I would but they don't.
I would just appreciate some clarity on those things. If you really mean me not to post in the thread I won't. I'm not looking for an argument.

This is a reply to # 2,347,883Mate iv told you iv done it all.. had 3 private lab stool tests the expansive ones.. iv told you results came back with slight dysbiosis.. which probably a third of the world has so its no biggie the issue with stool test is your gut bacteria is constantly changing depending on your intake of different variety of foods. iv had my hormones cortisol levels thyroid all that checked and its all normal.
I will say this for the last time the only thing ever found was i had high elevated levels of inflammatory cytokines in my biopsy.
Now i recently had standard blood tests and something actually showed which high elevated levels of Eosinophilia which unless i am in early stages of leukaemia is most likely due to me having the genes for atopic diseases aka allergies/eczema/dermatits/asthma . This further makes me see the connection of ec and a form of dermatitis/eczema.

Lets face the facts. I actually barley come on here anymore because i read the same stuff week in week out and its been going on for YEARS. when someone actually tries something new or something that makes sense and could work i enjoy reading stuff like that.
