I think it is going to take a century to get this mess turned around and doctors treating people with
parasites and also with lyme (because they do deny lyme exists too)with dignity instead of lying to them because of pressures they get from the medical superiors not to treat.
I do not think it is because they believe that people don't get parasites.
My own view is that there is only going to be one language they understand and that is the reviews they get from patients. If a doctor gives you lies and disrespectful treatment about
parasite infections then give them a bad review. Leave a comment about the fact that they refused to diagnose you when you believe they knew you had
parasites that were devastating your life, if this is the case. However, you may hesitate to give a negative rating to your own GP because you may feel the GP knows you and will not give you good medical treatment because of it. That is true. It is easier to give an unsatisfactory review to a Tropical Disease specialist that you will never see again that treated you like crap.
The other possibility is to give poor ratings to doctors that we know have shown unspeakably horrible treatment to people with hyperinfections for example, casting them out to fend for themselves. If we do not push back this situation is going to go on forever. They have to know there is a consequence. If they get poor reviews they will try to be more reasonable and they may even push back to an establishment that has victimized innocent people saying they have a psychosis called parasitosis. That label to patients should be an obvious red flag that the doctor should get a rating that reflects poor performance and a comment that makes it clear it is unacceptable to give people a psychotic diagnosis.
Just ask your GP for a copy of the report the specialist sent back and you may be surprised to see the diagnosis of parasitosis going back to your GP.
This situation is going to go on forever if we don't push back in a language the doctors understand.
Do you think things will change because the odd rare doctor might stumble into this web site and read about the suffering of people. I don't think so.
Anyway that is my view. Others may have suggestions on how to change this rotten system.
The reason they get away with this abuse towards us is because of the shame of having this. We would never go public exposing parasitic infections.
If decades or centuries in the future there is ever any government bill that is passed to change the treatment of patients, I propose it be in the name of vch who has written the blog called Dying from
parasite Dissemination. It captures my heart and I think the unspeakable treatment she has described at the hospital reflects this cruel system. She may decide she does not want that, preferring not to be remembered for this. That is the problem we face and why the system gets away with it. The need to hide this problem for the sake of ourselves or other family members who might not appreciate it.
