Hi rainy, wishing you a well and peaceful soul's meditation with The Holy Spirit's Loving Perfect Wisdom..our Comforter in Truth's Outlooks of many subjects, just as HE Promised- A Comforter- .. as we faith-believe HIM and HIS Many Plans and Prophesies' Plannings for us and HIM. Within in hearts' of Loving concerns for each other, God and family, working in the family business, Kingdom!
Your two posts.. 'can we know' (for me links/ crosses over) into 'Salvation being free', too and is better said in my one response... as we visit-talk in this curezone neighborhood, as neighbors talking about various subjects we deal with in our lives.
… “Salvation” means an action of saving...
When does Christ's Salvation's Works begin, start in this world age.. with one (us) needing sins' remissions and we, that have ask, for Christ's Salvation?- when is Christ ready (completely up and running) to do the Works of High Priest for us?
.. Emmanuel, Jesus The Christ, said, “it is finished”!!! Is Christ an Active & Worthy Legal High Priest right now and fully opened for our sins' remission before God- in all spiritual places and Court's Review and Judgments... down to The Final Judgment? That's a personal faith-belief answer for each of us! As one said, (in my words) “show me your 'faith' and I'll show you my works for HIM in HIS Ministering Services by freewill construction (witnessing HIS Gospel by our works- in love's/ loving concerns, those concerns that Christ has for certain– too--- but us, we work by the 'Body of Christ's Works' or Personal Outreach Works (“ambassador”)works we can do for those services that are inService for HIM.. ) of eternal matters while in this world age.. (things that really matter- long term values)”...James 2:
(my personal witness faith-belief in my 'words to paper' tonight) Christ is The Perfect High Priest with: Personal Perfect Knowledge/ Complete Perfect Training, is a Sincere Perfect Reliable Responsible Professional and Has (RIGHT NOW) Full-Complete Eternal Legal-Domain Authority- by HIS ~ONLY~ Works' POWER- Absolute Authority reaching into all eternal spiritual places (including Complete Perfect Resurrection Architectural Plans- an immortal new spiritual body into All to be made New immortal Creation of new Architectural environmental changes of designs.. (new design changes in Heaven, new design changes in Earth, ALL new changes in design in all Spiritual Places- HIS Total Kingdom's Eternal Dominion) so that we may be where HE is (Shekinah Glory) and under HIS Perfect fairness (Peaceful Kingdom's Protection) for all equally.
What can a soul (perish soul) bring to Christ, High Priest Office, for HIM to do Works for remission of sins, Redemption? (I have neither of two main elements by my own personal works)(HE alone has BOTH NEEDED Elements: A Legal Worthy High Priest and Legal Worthy Blood for remission of sins AND documented before God) AND has PROMISED- an everlasting life Plan by HIS new Architectural design immortal creation spiritual body and dwelling with HIM as 'family' in a NEW Creation- Kingdom.. as HIS old Architectural creation will perish ... 2 Peter 3: Scriptures included below..
I do not have any belief of myself, or any other, besides Christ, as a Worthy High Priest with Worthy Blood for my Redemption/ Salvation by The Redeemer, Jesus The Christ, Emmanuel's WORKS in all spiritual places for my remission of sins and linked to HIS PROMISED WORK to make/create (me) an eternal spiritual new body (&me- by HIS Resurrection- Architectural Plans/Designs) that I will abide with HIM- eternally.
Our “works” produce “fruits” (Body of Christ's Mission works we do or an 'ambassador' of HIS KINGdom to another- for another to build a relationship-Redemption- to return (Grace Offer) with HIM, CHRIST's KINGdom's side in this war, war in spiritual places), we are not the “ROOTs”, Tree of LIFE, High Priest. We are “gardeners” planting a freewill Gospel (to some it will be 'Good NEWS with a great love of building of their personal 'faith' with HIM (a time of growing- babe with milk.. to growing/ maturing to eating strong meat)! and for others no value/ no news of worthiness.. of any worthy value for them to have any faith/ love in listening to Christ's Promises and Kingdom of HIS NEW Designs of Redemption's WORKS and Prophesies of HIS PLANS...
My point about 'free' & us 'knowing'- We can't PAY Christ we can do works by joining Christ under HIS ONLY Redemption's Works and joining HIS Warfare (freewill), joint Christ's army by our 'faith' (faith-works) in believing Him to do what HE as Promised for us- as we confess that we have sins and for HIS Redemption WORKS as a HIGH PRIEST.. it is that simple.. (starting out the gate with HIM). And, your other question, how can we 'know' if we believe HIM within our own personal 'faith' in this flesh-spirit life-world? .. that is personal information for me to tell you- as to- does one have 'faith' in Christ? Only one will Judge AND I can't figure a soul's eternal life or to perish (that has been settled as to Who will Judge and Who will be our Legal Advocate and linked (for your answer) to The Holy Spirit's Work with us...The Comforter talk with you for an answer... as we walk in this world)
I know my words are very very straightforward 'think abouts ' … if we let God continue in maturing us, HE Knows our hearts. And HIS Heart, pouring out to us, is Always Truth value for our understanding... as we seek, a seeker of how we can understand 'what' HE wants us to learn by doing...and really start doing (step out on 'faith' in what HE has said)...doing a human activity.. or doing a spiritual activity...activities of relationship in real dealing activities with God and another, others and not a hearer only... we need practical experiences with our WORDS of learning from HIM.. for learning to be something more.. we can use in our working in real life events of a day we experience with another.
is 'free'.. 'free' ? … can we do “Works” that ONLY Christ has Worthiness to do for us (sins' remission *before God)( if we could have done 'works' for sins.. Christ would not have 'done' what HE did (Heb 8)! .. As Christ is The Fully Qualified Perfect High Priest in Legal spiritual places of Shekinah Glory Domains... we have zero, none, no credentials (we are fully-unworthy) to do or losing-ground to try to do HIS Perfect Works as a High Priest! Again, we can not do Works that ONLY a Worthy High Priest can do .. we are not priests so how on Earth or in Heaven could we ever do a High Priest's Works.. let alone do the Worthiness of Christ's Works and to try personally to taking over The Office of The WORKING High Priest for us, which is ONLY from Jesus, The Christ (WE REQUIRE HIM...that's my faith-belief... within LEGAL priority of one's stepsss of meditation with HIM on a solid foundation, The Rock of our Salvation for eternal life's Redemption Plans.. by HIS Door that opens as we knock!)
Have a restful rest, lucidhunt
Hebrews 8:6-13 (KJV)
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Hebrews 6:9-20 (KJV)
9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
2 Corinthians 3:12-18 (KJV)
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Hebrews 7:22-28 (KJV)
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore
Hebrews 8:1-5 (KJV)
1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount
Romans 3:1-31 (KJV)
1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to dec1are his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Perhaps continuing in reading Romans 5:...
Hebrews 11:1-3 (KJV)
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
James 2:14-26 (KJV)
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
Philippians 2:1-13 (KJV)
1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure
{{{we need 'renewing' with HIM... let us not be in HIS absence, absence with The Holy Spirit and many subjects of teaching of WISDOM (for our protections/ Parent's Love) as we continue to mature with HIM.. and without 'renewing' one can get wrongly.. justifying -of-sin/s as we have (wrongly believed) ~special~ factors...but it will become/ be to our folly...lost.. a greater price than we want to pay }}... causes me to think of King David and his great stress of being a king.. and how he let a need to 'escape' his daily pressures ...caused a domino effect into his life..and into his child.. resulting in coup plans and actions against King David... just as had happened with satan against The KING- God, only God had NO SIN...}}}
1 Corinthians 10:11-12 (KJV)
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
2 Peter 3:11-18 (KJV)
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
