Hi, I posted this in the other Iodine thread and grizz told me to put it here so trapper could read it and whoever else reads this forum:
Hi, I'm just wondering if I should get my hopes up for Iodine healing my scars or not. How long does it take most people to get rid of theirs with iodine? I'm using wombats cream and taking Lugols internally. I suppose the higher the dose, the faster the results so should I just up my dose to 300 mg maybe? I know my skin was lacking in it beside I'm sweating like I never have before lol, and my skin isn't as dry anymore (I would really like it to get more oily/dewy though). I know nobody can say whether it will work or not, I'm just looking for opinions, cause these scars are really getting me down :(... They're not even that deep but there's just so much, so widespread if you know what I mean. Most of them are hypertrophic.
I'm also doing liver flushes.

This is a reply to # 2,201,724Yes, my Surgeon once gave me Lugol's to rub on scar tissue. It kind of worked but nothing like Lugol's in large amounts internally, I believe it has to do with sufficiency.. in short more is better.. but be aware that more can cause many issues including free floating Heavy Metals..

This is a reply to # 2,201,749When you post a Q you ask those of us answering about our opinion and more important our experience.
That was my experience with scar tissue, internal Lugol's and lots of it but I had massive Lead issues and I should warn that without doing CEs which are a great way to eliminate intestinal Lead this may have stopped me from using these larger doses..

So you think that once I am sufficient, my scars may heal and that it is all to do with sufficiency, ok thanks.
I'm only 20 so hopefully I don't have too many heavy metals, but how shall I know if I'm doing too much? To be honest lately I can't seem to get rid of this sore throat I'm getting from detox but I really want to keep going cause I feel better when I can sweat! I'm doing a Liver Flush in an hour though so maybe that will help.

The issue is simple. People are telling Tayto that scar tissue can be cured by taking Iodine internally.
I say NO WAY. The scar must be painted per those established procedures you listed. Also the Hi-Odide cream does not have enough Iodine in it to create scar tissue, so cannot cure scars. IMO, the full strength Lugols 5% must be applied topically to create the required scar tissue. I've done this procedure myself to get rid of a nasty lesion.
People are giving Tayto false hopes by telling her hi-odide cream or taking Iodine internally will cure her scars. So I recommended that she get a 2nd opinion from you.
The formation of a scab is essential to curing the scar, and taking iodine internally (or hi-odine) will NEVER create scab tissue. No Cure for scars without the scab. Very simple. That is my experience & my advice. I rest my case.
So bottom line, you are left with conflicting opinions. Such is life on the message boards.

This is a reply to # 2,201,928Thanks Grizz for you input. I'm going to try taking large amounts internally and treat a veruca on my foot with lugol's.
I dunno about needing to have scab tissue seeing as Water Fasts can heal scars without scabbing. But I may end up painting if my plan does not work. It will be difficult though as my scars are raised but not above the skin if you know what I mean.

btw, it can take a couple of years to get sufficient even with daily supplementation of 50mg or more. i recommend a minimum of 100mg per day and strongly suggest much more is better. i take a gram a day.- Re: Is there much chance for scar he... boroda

This is a reply to # 2,202,166Trapper, when you say you take gram daily - do you mean SSKI or Lugol's? Because I remember I read somewhere that only SSKI can be safely taken in amounts >300mg. So if that's true I think it would be better if you always specify that you take SSKI and not Lugol's. Otherwise newcomers of curezone may damage their health.

This is a reply to # 2,202,226i take about 1300mg of SSKI 2%. that is about the same as one gram of lugols. the 5% in Lugols is the Iodine only. the amount of Iodine in a drop - approx 6.25mg - does not account for the potassium. numbers for SSKI do contain the potassium because that is what it is. i put the Iodine content on the label of SSKI 2% so instead of saying 30mg of Iodide per drop and 600mcg of iodine per drop it gives the total iodine per drop of 23.1mg per drop.

This is a reply to # 2,202,226nobody is ever gonna hurt themselves with Lugols just taking it orally. it would take real effort to do so. i know people who have taken a gram of lugols. the info i was sharing way back when was based a lot on the fear of Iodine that is ubiquitous. i found that fear to be completely without merit. these days, along with 100mg of Lugols being the bare minimum to fix Iodine deficiency and progress toward sufficiency and to combat halogen imbalance, i tell people to take a gram of KI every day for a week or two to see what you got. its just amazing what that much Iodine can do for a person.
btw, there can be diminishing returns on larger doses of lugols. the elemental iodine is quite reactive and can cause a little distress.

This is a reply to # 2,202,628OK I see that we need to clear another confusion - I heard many times people say "I take Lugol's 100mg daily " - does it mean 100mg of liquid (which is very small amount = 0.1ml) or does it mean that amount of Lugol's which contain 100mg of Iodine? In second case that's much more than 100mg of liquid.
So when I said "I heard that it's not safe to take >300mg of Lugol's" - I really meant that amount of Lugol's liquid which contains 300mg of Iodine.
So what is top Lugol's 5% dosage? I feel burning in stomach when I take Lugol's dosage with >100mg of Iodine at a time
You said above "i know people who have taken a gram of lugols" - again, does it mean total weight of luqud 5% Lugol's? Or is it a weight of Iodine in Lugol's? Because If you mean 1g weight of liquid 5% Lugol's it doesn't seem too much - that's just 50mg of Iodine + 100mg of KI +850mg water.- Re: Is there much chance for scar he... trapper/kcmo

i needed to take Iodide only to get over 600mg. other people have taken much more than that and do fine.
