Healthy “Coffee” Alternative
1 Teaspoon Holy Basil
1/2 Teaspoon Kev’s Ceylon Cinnamon
1 1/2 Teaspoon Chag-o-Charge
Green Stevia to Taste
Boil water or put in a crock pot. Let steep for 20 min if you’re boiling water. If you’re using a crock pot or a stove, let simmer overnight.
Makes 16 to 32 Oz, depending on how strong you like it.
For the Chai Tea: 2 cup water Bring all to a boil then let simmer for 30 min, the longer the better! For the Cider Juice 2 big apples and add to the Chai tea blend. (If you don’t have a juicer, like we don’t have one in the RV… blend 2 big apples with the 2 cups of chai tea, then strain through a nut milk bag!) Serve with cinnamon sprinkled on top The easiest way of all is to just juice the apples, then boil the juice with the spices. But we wanted to preserve as many of the nutrients in the apple as possible!
1 tbsp cardamom
1 tbsp Kev’s Cinnamon powder or 1/2 cup cinnamon bark
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp black pepper corn
Pinch of Vanilla Powder – which I forgot to show
