Hi INTI,
I have done both infrared saunas and Coffee enemas. In fact, I started on both before I even began NB, and I basically do both daily. I would say that the sauna is geared toward causing detox to take place through the skin. It therefore removes some of the stress on the liver. However, it can stir up detox symptoms because of this.
The enemas don't actually cause detox, I believe, but relieves detox symptoms by dumping bile from the liver into the intestines and then carrying them out of the body. I guess in some sense they could cause more detox by clearing the liver and allowing it to cleanse the body of more toxins.
I notice a direct correlation between doing the
coffee enema and the clearing of detox symptoms, especially headaches. I am not aware of such a direct correlation with saunas and detox symptoms. I do them because my practitioner told me to and I trust that they are having a positive effect, but am not aware of it when they are working. I do notice that my detox symptoms sometimes slow down if I miss several days of sauna.
My husband built me the sauna box for a very reasonable price. It can be used in a bathtub/shower stall or with a frame and canvas cover.
Hope that helps.
