I wanted to give some feedback about the ketoconozale and methimazole.
I was able to get them. They are pretty hard to take. The side effects for the ketoconozale is the blocking of testosterone for the duration that the medicine is in your body. Of course I learned this after I took it.
But, the ketoconozale is an antifungal and does bind the receptors of testosterone. Off hand I can't remember how. But, it has something to do with estrogen aswell.
So, I looked up research studies on ketoconozale and it's use as a male contraceptive agent. There were no long term side effects with testosterone production. They I believe extended the study for one month and once the keto wasn't administered then the testosterone levels rose back to what they were previously.
So, and I was able to tolerate this one pretty well.
The methimazole was pretty hard on my system. It made me want to throw up honestly. This one effects the thyroid and poeple use it I believe for hyperthyroid conditions. The medicine was used daily for that with the upper dose of 60 mg per day, with the average dose of 20mg.
One of these were pretty harsh on my system. In fact both of them are to an extent. Blocking the testosterone even for a day causes mixed signals to be sent within your hormone axis's. I don't know enough about how it works honestly to know how harmful it is. While I'm not sure even the effect of what the methimazole would be. But, I felt this was the one that I couldn't tolerate well.
I got all the info from articles from pubmed.
So, I don't think this is the best way to go for resistant flukes for me.
I guess I will just try to stick with the grapefruit juice, bromelain and maybe the brussel sprouts. And anything else natural that I can find that will help.
Just wanted to give some feedback if anyone was curious.
