There is alot of info out there, an I have the attention span of a fly. I'm close to death, infact i feel like i'm already in hell an death would be a way to escape. My brain feels like its shutting down, cant think/concentrate, in a dream an none of this is real.
Besides all that. How do I go about Iodine supplementation, i have alot of symptoms. you can click my name to view them all.
I just got my Lugols Iodine 2%. i did the "paint test" today, painted a little circle on my chest, the yellow was gone in about 1 1/2 hours.
So....I know i take selenium, vit c, magnesium, zinc.
how much iodine, 12.5 in one dose? do i spread it out?
after the paint test i already feel my feet warming up, although itchy at least i can feel them now.

I also advise you to check out posts here at the forum; at least the R`s; a lot of info for / from other beginners.
12,5 mg is a good place to start; you can take all in one go. Make sure you take all the companion vit / minerals as this will make the detox phase easier. - Re: Starting iodine today, need some... UserX

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,737,690sounds like mercury poisoning symptoms, I had it, and a lot of those same symptoms 7-8 years ago.
I'm not saying it is what you should do, but what I would do is jump in with 500mg of potassium Iodide every other day for a week, then take a week off, and then repeat the week after that and see if it made a difference.- Re: Starting iodine today, need some... jboy7185

I am a bodyworker but I end up talking up Iodine a lot.
If you do the test do the bromide test too, it is worth having a benchmark for bromide level.
itchy is normal detox. Some people find painting the Iodine on the itchy places helps, either straight or diluted. I am going through that again currently after 10 months on iodine.
are you salt loading?

I just don't get if it was mercury how all this happened so quickly from a stomach problem. Seems like metals would take a slower approach. An why would I crave sugars an salts if it were metals.-

tmaryAnd can I just say that it is true that you need to clear the mercury 1st. The whole reason that most people have candida is because of a mercury overload, unless you have a copper deficiency or Aids or Cancer, or some other immune depleting disease.
. It has been claimed that the prevalence of Candida in mercury patients is the body’s reaction to the metal and it over produces yeast and abnormal flora in the intestinal tract to "chelate" the metal and protect the body.
Not sure if this part is true. Think it hold onto the yeast for us and protects us from it
What IS known is that mercury causes the production of abnormal flora, particularly anti-biotic resistant flora, which allows Candida to set up shop and go nuts.
So this is why the mercury needs to be detoxed in order to eliminate the yeast. Some believe, like the makers of NDF and such, that if you kill the yeast 1st it will release it into the bloodstream and it will re-deposit in the organs. Who knows.
All I know is that I spent 10 years trying to get rid of the yeast and until I started focusing on the Mercury nothing good happened for me. Imagine the yeast diet for 20 years and you'll go crazy! - Re: Starting iodine today, need some... cougar

You know about the counting rules for reading the hair test?
if not learn 'em.
there is a ration in the hair test you can look at for adrenal function, I forget which raitio but easy to find

I'm having a slightly easier time working through Brownstein's book. It's been a good intro and I'd recommend it. But it doesn't get interesting or meaty until 3/5's in.- Re: Starting iodine today, need some... cougar
