Well, There are peoplez sayinng that carbs are the cause of many health issues.
For instance people with candida or bacterial overgrowth ( intyestine) report feeling better when on low carbs....
I don't know what to think.
Anyone tried this diet ?
I personally do not agree with any strict diet. High protein can elevate uric acid, which can be an issue for people with kidney disorders or prone to gout. And if that high protein includes red meat it can also be an issue for people with hemochromotosis. Then there is the fact that meats, organic or not, still contain hormones that can feed cancers. Animal flesh can also increase inflammation due to the arachidonic acid.
So there are limitations to such a diet just as there are limitations to other strict diets. Again well balanced diets and moderation is the key.
When u mention animal flesh, is fish included as well? I mean are they as inflamatory as beef/chicken?
Fish is not as bad, especially deep cold water fish as they have a higher level of anti-inflammatory omega 3 fatty acids.
What about egg?
Eggs are also a source of inflammatory arachidonic acid.
Although we have to keep in mind that these are not an issue if consumed in moderation.
yes, I think so but I ' ve read people reporting increased energy on this type of diet also the best antioxydant are from aniaml product ( zinc) collagen is made from proline and lysine , gluthatione is synthtises from amino acid, glutamine ( recommandede for leaky gut)is taken form animal product, alpha linolenic acid, cholesterol for the synthesis of bile acid and hormones etc...
Plants can provide zinc, and other antioxidants as well as amino acids and many other beneficial compounds including many not found in meats such as fiber, polyphenols and bioflavonoids. So again we need variety in diet.
Vegetables and fruits seems to add just a bit in the picture maybe for magnesium and viamin C which are imporatant to have.
To be honest I 've read that website that maybe turned my head a bit :
http://www.biblelife.org/carbs.htm
They are saying carbs are pathogenic, I know it is far fetched but they almost got me :/
But actually, I ' ve read people who have a long lifespan do eat carbs , bread, sugar etc...;so I don't know
Look at this woman jeanne calment she ate bread milk lots of chocolate, was smoking etc....she reached 121 years...
But maybe she ate all those thing in good proportionsn I guess it has to do with it like you said.
Yes.
