I agree.
I am also an eczema sufferer. You have to consider multiple things.
Diet is very important! Goodsamaritan55 has some good points and he is right (mostly) but he could have said his ideas in a less agressive manner and without including his website in every single post. (although it's a good and helpful site, but if you do this people will think it's spam)...The key IMO is not just raw but enzyme rich, Raw food is live food and cooked food is dead. However, in some cases fermented is better than raw, such as yogurt, kefir, yakult, saurkraut, kimchi, naturally fermented pickles, sourdough bread etc.
Unfortunately grains are detrimental to our health if they are not properly prepared (soaked, fermented or sprouted), and even then it's better to limit them.
It would be great if I could bring myslef to eat raw meat, but I can't, so I try to eat more raw egg yolks (you don't need whites), raw milk, raw cheeses, raw cream, yogurt type things. If you are concerned with
parasites in meat, you're right, so it's imortant to get good quality meat, organic, grass fed, free range etc, not factory and full of hormones and abx, or grain-fed etc. Those are more prone to parasites. And if you freeze the meat/liver for at least two weeks, that should kill parasites. In any way,
parasites are an ongoing problem because we are always exposed to them, so it's a good idea to do
parasite cleanses.
You also have to consider heavy metals, dental amalgams, vaccines, cooking utensils, appliances...
Your dirinking water, bathing water, detergents, soaps, lotions, electromagnetic field, pollution...
You also need lots of natural sunshine, no sunblock, good fats such as coconut oil, evoo, lard, raw dairy products, cod liver oil, liver,
we already get too much omega 6 via meat and grains, so no need for vegetable oils, they are rancid anyway.
I also experience periods when my eczema clears up for "no reason" but I think it has to do with hormone cycles, moon cycles and also if you detox more in other ways (like exercise, sunshine, sweating and the toxins don't have to use the skin to get out.
It definitely gets worse if I eat overly cooked, or anything from the store that I didn't make from scratch, even healthfood. If I eat out (anything, no matter what restaurant as they use pre-made stuff and irradiated meat/produce, sauces are usually made from mixes too.
I try to stick to the weston a. price diet with limiting grains and other carbs and now I'm also trying to add the coconut oil fast,
Iodine and
parasite cleanses. I tell you when I was completely eczema-free for several months is when I was taking Candex. But I can't keep doing that forever, I don't want to depend on antifungals, I want to get completely cleaned out, if it makes sense. HTH a little.
