Oxidizers can burn the tissues. To make matters worse you vomited it back up. NEVER try vomiting up caustic substances since as you found it will just burn more on the way back up. Caustic solutions should be diluted if ingested, not purged.
The good news is that the damage is not likely permanent. You can make a tea with a mixture of slippery elm, comfrey root and licorice root boiling the mix for 20 minutes covered, then steeped until cooled. Strain the tea and sip on it throughout the day to help sooth the inflammation, protect the throat and intestines and to help promote the healing.
I have slippery elm and licorice, but will have to get comfrey later. Is comfrey good for leaky gut too?
Leaky gut is best addressed by building up the beneficial intestinal flora. The best way to do this is with fermented foods like kefir and with fiber sources such as rice bran.
The licorice root will help reduce the inflammation, and yucca root is also excellent for this. The comfrey root is rich in allantoin, which is a cellular stimulant. So its primary effect will be to speed repair. With leaky gut you want to focus more on flora restoration and inflammation reduction.
Are you suggesting that there may better ways to deal with leaky gut than oxidizing the entire GI tract...? [smile icon]
Leaky gut is not from a lack of oxygen but rather a lack of flora and inflammation. The flora help to keep pathogens under control including fungal Candida. If the pathogens damage the intestinal lining the lining becomes inflamed. When the tissues become inflamed they leak. So again it is best addressed by increasing the flora and with anti-inflammatory herbs.
Do you happen to know of any signs of oxidation damage that people should be aware of while they are doing oxidation therapy?
It depends on the form of oxidation therapy, how it is being administered, concentration, etc. For example the most common injuries of oxidation therapies are tissue burns, and even ulceration. Ozone therapy can also hemolyze red blood cells if given in too high of a concentration. Peroxide therapy can cause severe nausea and vomiting increasing the risk of aspiration. With any oxidative therapy it is important to study it in depth first so you know what you are doing before starting the therapy because even the safest therapies, such as ozone therapy, have their risks.

Can you provide further details as to what flora and anti-inflammatory herbs are helpful?

Also if you feel you have damaged your throat lining/esophagus due to constant exposure to stomach acid, what can I swallow that will address this directly and speed up the healing process? Right now I bite vitamin e pills & aloe pills then swallow the liquid. I want to know what I can do to address soreness because I'm effected by not being able to sing. I want to heal the throat quickly as possible while also using the other information I've acquired to fix the problem permanently over time. Thanks!
You can use the same anti-inflammatories and slippery elm to make a tea. For example make a mixture of 2 ounces each of licorice root and slippery elm and a half an ounce of yucca root. Add one teaspoon of the mix for each cup and a half of water and boil the mixture covered for 15 minutes then turn off the heat and let the tea steep until cooled. Sip on the mixture throughout the day to reduce the inflammation, soothe the membranes and help with the healing.
If you make the tea you do not need to take these anti-inflammatories separately for the intestines. Sipping the tea throughout the day will also help reduce intestinal inflammation and to build the flora.
