I have been using Uriflow for 3 weeks now. They found the stone in November 2005 and watched it until January 2006. My stone is small 3.5 mm but because of smaller than normal kidneys, this stone was causing a major blockage and my doctor wanted to put me in the hospital for an emergency stint. I refused...and he told me I could lose my kidney.
As I researched the stint, and decided that this was not for me, I found the Uriflow website. I researched this for a week before deciding to try it. I was taking 2 500 mg of vicodin every 3 - 4 hours at the time and still the pain was horrendous.
Within a few hours after the first dose of Uriflow the pain dropped to a point of being able to deal with it. For the first 2 weeks I was still taking pain medication in the late afternoon...so I called BioNeutrix and they told me to try a third Uriflow in the afternoon...and always on an empty stomach and lots of water. Even if I find that the stone is there next week, I did not have to get the stint...plus the pain was keeping me home, so now I have a little freedom. Except for the constant peeing. LOL!
The stone has moved (first week), I learned that after a lot of walking one day and had lots of blood and pain in a new area. BioNeutrix also told me to uh-hummm pee in a clear container and let it sit for two hours...he told me what I should find. And low and behold there was so much debris that I was shocked. I had a stone blasted several years ago with the Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy and did not do well with this procedure, and ended up in the ER, I have a permanently swollen kidney from it, so I sure am hopeful that this works for me. I have been without pain medication for the last 48 hours! My new ESWL is set for March 20th with the work up on the 14th. I will have them do an x-ray on the 14th to see progress. I have a healthy amount of skepticism…but always hopeful!
However, this stuff was worth the money just preventing the stint and decreasing the pain!
