I know a lot of you have had tingling in the arms and legs. I never had that problem when I had the Mirena or the 8 months post, until now. Has anybody not had symptoms and then developed them a while after?- Re: Tingling adamson77

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,448,833yes i didn't get it til over a year after removal i didn't pay it much mind. i would feel something and not see anything but i would touch the area anyway. i had never posted about it cause it was never enough to annoy me or concern me enough to look it up.
i had twitching right after removal but i'm just now understanding what tingling is. the blood pressure medicine i was given increased the tingling and it hit all of a sudden. i didn't even know it was called tingling. like i posted below i was searching my pants for ants or insects.
well it is 1 am, the medicine has almost completely worn off. i'm back to the normal few tings mostly on my toe and arm. so happy my eye brows and eye lashes have stopped feeling like they were moving.

Yes, I have had weird tingling in my feet, hands and face and it moves around. Read some of my prior posts and I go into alot more detail. All my tests have come back negative and I continue to pray they stay that way. I'm going to a new Dr. tomorrow searching for a good listener and someone can put me back together again. I'm 2 months post removal and it's a little better, but I still have tinlging and lower back pain! Hang in there and keep your chin up. Where are you tingling?

This is a reply to # 1,448,918I notice it in my arms, legs and feet. I did have my vitamin D tested and came back low normal. So this last week I have been taking 2000IUs of vit D a day. Also, the last week and a half I've been taking the progesterone cream containing DHEA and testosterone that the Dr. prescribed. I wonder if that might be causing a problem? I saw on a previous post the tingling can be caused from an upset in the balance of estrogen and testosterone. I guess that's kind of obvious.- Re: Tingling adamson77

we all have different symptoms or different levels of symptoms.

twitching
involuntary movements
my arms and legs moves or kick when i try to relax, i've been calling it a twitch for the pass 4 years. my uterus twitches some of us posted about a baby kicking feeling. my skin tingles. the tingles feel different sometimes it feels like a ant or feather on my skin, other times it feels like a needle prick which makes me jerk.- Re: Tingling karita

Well, mine feels like a pin prick too! Also, I get a tingle like a feather and I have to itch it, but before I can itch it, it goes away. The tingling in my lips feels like I just put blistex on and I want to rub my lips with my fingers. In addition, just recently got a twitch in my left upper arm last week where it felt like an extra heart beat and would last about 20 seconds...now it's gone!

This is a reply to # 1,449,397yea it sounds familiar and i don't like to constantly touch my face cause of the tingles. hydrochorothiazide a high blood pressure med turn the tingles in the crawling skin for 3 days. i have a pin prick in my left hip and knee cap.
thank you for explaining how it feels and mentioning lip gloss. my cheeks feel like lashes are falling on them but its really just the tingles. i guess wearing lip gloss and applying cream or foundation would cover my skin and make it less sensitive.
i'm so glad i asked. i haven't worn make up or jewlery since i had the mirena.

This is a reply to # 1,449,377oh i didn't know. it's been months since i've seen someone report the baby kicking feeling. the feeling was worse when i didn't eat and i could see my belly move. finally it stopped.
the pin prick on my skin is something i can't ignore, i must touch it or it gets worse. my doctor might say it is the arthritis, the nerve endings that i am feeling.
my left leg goes to sleep when i am driving. just sitting still makes both of them numb.
i still feel good. after getting that drug out of my system i feel even better. it has actually made the few tingles something i can deal with.- Re: Tingling karita

This is a reply to # 1,449,597I forgot to say too, that I have muscle twitches in my legs and arms every once in a while. I'm wondering if that might have been from the low vitD. I used to have the spots on my face go numb, but that seems to have eased. I also sometimes feel like my legs are going to go to sleep when I sit for a while.

This is a reply to # 1,449,651i don't know why that happens. when my legs start going to sleep i must stand up or lay back. i get a little agitated if i'm in class or suppose to be seated. i read something about needing B12 but my memory so bad i never bought any and i can't remember what it does. lol

I live in Bellingham, WA and we're hitting records here today with 82 degrees.:) Thanks for sharing about your tingles....I can't believe your wearing compression hose. I had worn those the last 2 months of my pregnancy due to spider veins and circulation. :( Does it help? I went to a natural healing/nutrition/Chiro yesterday and had my initial exam for an hour and half. I had all my tests and MRI's sent and the three docs will come up with a plan for me. I meet with them Monday at 4:00 to go over more tests they performed in the office as well as my prior ones. I will let you know what they say. I hope I can pass on some helpful info.:))) I feel like I should call them "The last Resort DOCs" if you know what I mean?? Thankfully they take my insurance.
PS. Do any of you get a little weakness in your arms, legs or one side of your body that comes and goes??
I'm just so glad we all have the "M" out of us!!!

This is a reply to # 1,449,826yes that is how i fell downstairs two years ago. i was ignoring the pain and numbness, i also slipped down a hill. i just put a ted hose on because my left foot is swelling from being upright all day. the hose feels great and i can stay up longer instead of getting in bed to elevate it. once i had a headache so i put the hose on my head it felt great. i don't advise anyone else try it.
hopefully all your test will come back fine. i just have low iron but these pills make me sick. my body acts crazy with all meds.
happy 4th i'm in north carolina
talking about all this tingling just reminded me that i have a ting ting in the closet. wish i had some batteries...be sure to let us know how the natural healing goes. - Re: Tingling mom2TnE

This is a reply to # 1,449,826Yes, I still get tingling (like pins and needles) but not near as bad as when it was in - when it was in and in the first few months, it would almostmake my whole limbs go numb... weird sensation.
And, yes, I get weakness, but I wouldnt call it mild. I get it very badly in my thighs and in my wrists/hands. To the point that I worry about carrying things, or falling. At its worst, I can barely hold things. It sucks.
Hope you all had a good 4th! We are in the midwest and it rained most of the day, but was clear for the fireworks.
