This is my second juice fast. My first was 5 days! I felt great, but started to detox too fast, so came off it gradually (1st day fruits, 2nd added salad, 3rd day back to full solids (raw). For this fast, I plan 5 days on, 3 days off, 5 days on, 4 days off. Then I hope to start again. I have 80 more
pounds to lose (I have dropped 20 so far.)
I start with the P&B first thing, then 2 more glasses of water. That fills me up for a few hours. Then I juice 3 grapefruit and strain out the pulp. I get about 12-14
oz.
Mid morning I make my carrot juice. I save 1
quart for later, then juice more and add my greens. I drink that for lunch, and the carrot juice for dinner. I drink a LOT of water in between, and add a P&B before bed.
I have a really good juicer, but it is a bit of a pain to clean. But it's worth the effort because I get excellent quality juice.
I buy organic carrots, but almost everything else is not available in my area as organic, so I just get the highest quality I can find.
I do grow my own beets and tomatoes, and use them as they are ready.
What kind of juicer do you use? Do you have favorite drinks? My favorite is carrot, cucumber and kale.
