Ok. So I read through a lot of your FAQS.
If I understand you correctly, then you believe that his protocol is not informing people to properly dilute the substance and therefore when taking the larger amounts are causing mild poisoning? Is that right?
But at 1-2 drops, you say that it is a Herx reaction....meaning that you do believe it works? Right?
What benefit is anyone going to really get at 1-2 drops...when the intention of taking it is to kill pathogens, when it seems that more is needed to do so? What, then would be the point at all? Not seeing one. I have no skin problems. One thing I do not have now! Thank God.
I will admit we ordered a bottle today. I do feel very apprehensive to take it at all because I am having many health problems and i will probably wait until my body is a bit stronger to try it..however, I will tell you that I have orally ingested hydrogen peroixde for long periods of time and so has my husband safely.
I was very very sick...I had three infections )amoeba, salmonella and a bacterial infection in my nose all at the same time) that would not go away with Antibiotics . I ACCIDENTALLY took too much hydrongen peroxide, misjudging the proper dosing I should have taken. I spent 4 days in HELL shaking and nearly convusling..sweating profusely, with a high fever....rolling and sleeping and sweating in the bed....but when I emerged, all the infections were gone and I felt ok.
Was I poisoned? Probably. But it sure solved my problems. And I am REALLY glad it happened. And I did read similar siutations also happening to other people taking Miracle-Mineral-Supplement .
So I know what oxygen can do. This Miracle-Mineral-Supplement seems to be being compared to oxygen and I am not sure if it is accurate to be doing so.
Thanks so much for your time and energy on this matter. It is very helpful to see facts condensed in one place so that someone can make logical decisions.
I am assuming, Tom, that you have tried it personally?
And any more input besides that taking it is drinking pulp bleach (not really helpful) is greatly appreciated.

I believe that Jim Humble is misinforming people in a number of ways.
He implies that the 28% Miracle-Mineral-Supplement solution is safe to handle and ship.
He doesn't understand how to properly activate a sodium chlorite solution.
He is unable to measure the actual concentrations of chlorine dioxide produced.
He wrongly claims that chlorine dioxide only kills bad bacteria.
He calls poisoning a "herx" reaction.
He makes claims on the safety of chlorine dioxide based on the very low concentrations used in water treatment, then bases the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol on acidified sodium chlorite. These are two very different things. You can use chlorine dioxide to purify water. Once you are dead, you would use acidified sodium chlorite to keep your body from rotting as rapidly. The procedures involved in the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol are those used by industry to keep food from spoiling in the time after it has been harvested until it is consumed.
Jim Humble claims that the current MMS protocol is safe for pregnant mothers and children even though this hasn't been studied in the concentrations involved.
You should go back and read those posts again, and take a little time to think about what you are reading.
Jim Humble claimed to have cured 75000 people in Africa who were suffering with malaria using a dose of MMS that had a 1 PPM free chlorine dioxide concentration. There is no way the current MMS protocol produces this same concentration. I have asked him time and time again how he produces this 1 PPM concentration, and others have also asked him this same question. His standard response is to read his book and review the information listed on his web sites.
I have come to the realization that Jim Humble doesn't understand the chemistry behind chlorine dioxide, and most likely doesn't understand how to properly use it. It may be that he understands that the protocol is flawed and he just doesn't know how to fix it.
At any rate, until there is an acknowledgment of basic Science involved with these chemicals, I don't think anyone should ingest MMS following the current flawed MMS protocol. Jim Humble seems to have lost interest in testing and further development of the MMS protocol. He basically threw it out there, it didn't work very well, and now he can move on to something else. I was hoping that he would find a way to do some additional testing or run some clinical trials with documented follow up, but that does not seem to be the case.
This stuff works great for water purification. Purify your water and drink it, it may help purify your body... [smile icon]

This is a reply to # 1,379,864There is no scientific proof yet for ingesting Miracle-Mineral-Supplement against any disease. So far its been for sanitizing food and purifying water.
It is the best pathogen killer up to date. So....that could be very useful.... alot of guinea pigs around, like me, have found good results.- and what results might those be whac... noBSpleaze

and what do you do? You do what all the other Humble minions do and suggest Humbles protocol, despite the fact that we havent read one single cure to date on the bogus claims made by your leader.

Thanks so much for breaking this down for me Tom and helping me to understand better.
Having read so many of your posts, I was finding it hard to decipher whether or not you personally would use the solution, or have.
So even with your seriously diluted solutions, you still feel it is not safe to ingest?
I did not find whether you actually ever did try it personally or not. I am guessing, no?
May I ask then, how you would compare this to hydrogen peroxide, or if you think there is any correlation at all chemically?
I find it a big problem that there are no tests for this stuff. Why do you think he has lost interest in testing? Do you think it is fear of persecution from Big Pharma?

I am basically a healthy person. I started off using Miracle-Mineral-Supplement and following the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol, but quickly became aware of the problems with it. This lead me to do my own testing, and that, along with several interviews and discussions with medical professionals, chemists, microbiologists, industrial hygienists, and the top people involved with chlorine dioxide, have lead me to my conclusions.
I actually found Clara's protocol better. When I reached 6 drops, three times a day, I came down with the flu. This was a surprise to me because I was under the impression that Miracle-Mineral-Supplement would strengthen your immune system. This does not seem to be the case, and as I later found out, chlorine dioxide can oxidize iron and magnesium, both of which are very important to your immune system.
During the period I was trying MMS, I had periodic blood tests with my physician looking, in particular, for any indications of oxidative stress. None were observed, or showed up in the various tests done.
If you hook up with a medical professional that is familiar with oxidative therapies, you may want to bring this up and see if a treatment plan could be worked out. I do not recommend ingesting it without proper medical supervision and tracking.
I do recommend using the mouthwash, further purifying your drinking water, and am an advocate for the topical application of chlorine dioxide solutions. It is also very effective in mold and mildew odor removal, along with removing other pet and people odors. If you are having to clean up some mold or mildew, it is safer to remove if it is dead first, and after removal you can go a long way to preventing re-occurrence by the proper use of a sodium chlorite solution.
I actually have a small following of people that think very highly of my "gourmet" drinking water. We think it tastes better than bottled water. In some houses when people come over you make some coffee or tea. When people come over to our house, we make pure water.
Hydrogen peroxide is different in that it oxidizes everything. Chlorine dioxide will only oxidize bacteria, fungi, viruses, and metals. It doesn't seem to effect healthy cells at low concentrations. Hydrogen peroxide is a liquid, while chlorine dioxide is a gas, and remains a gas even in liquids.
On the contrary, there are lots of tests on sodium chlorite solutions and chlorine dioxide. They are for topical applications. These chemicals are classified as pesticides, and there have been thousands of tests proving that they are very effective at sanitizing and disinfecting. There have been a few studies done with humans ingesting water that has been disinfected with chlorine dioxide. The longest test involved people drinking a liter of water a day for 12 weeks. The water had a 5 PPM concentration of chlorine dioxide with no residual available. No adverse effects were observed.
"Big Pharma" is not interested in chlorine dioxide because it is unstable, is difficult to generate in small amounts, it can't be stored, and that it is a pesticide. The FDA is interested because the claims that Jim Humble makes can't be duplicated or proven. If there was consistent anecdotal evidence that the MMS protocol worked, it would be reasonably easy to find funding for testing and approval. However that does not seem to be the case...

May I please ask why it is then that you did not observe it as a herx reaction instead of it harming your immune system? Did you take tests to actually confirm that your immune system had lessened in effectiveness? What was it actually that made you come to this conclusion?
I am really just trying to get the whole picture so I can also explain it to my husband. I am actually going to email him a copy of your last response. I will use it in my drinking water from now on for sure.
Also, was the scientific evidence that you obtained that showed it was actually leaching magnesium and iron? May I ask also how you did find this out as well?
We are both big advocates of hydrogen peroxide. However, I find the taste of it intolerable, or I would do heavy dosing of it. I did find that in the time i took it, I felt much better than ever. But it gets tirseome and the aftertaste gets old really quick! It must be taken in juice and I find it seems hard for my body to deal with.
So then, it sounds like it could be really great for ear infections as well, from the dog story...how cool that was.
And how is there any way to REALLY know if it is oxidizing healthy cells as well?? You said

So are there not many claims then from people saying their health has improved? Isnt improvement of symptoms enough reason to conduct more studies?

I didn't have anything to get a "herx" reaction from, and my wife came down with exactly the same thing and "gave" it to me. [smile icon]
While discussing the various uses of chlorine dioxide with industry experts, I was made aware that it is used to improve the taste of drinking water. When I asked what was involved with improved taste, I was informed that iron and magnesium cause the "hard" water taste, and chlorine dioxide is very effective in removing iron and magnesium, as well as other minerals, from the water.
I then noticed that many others have experienced similar occurrences and that lead me to review what is necessary for a strong immune system. I found that iron and magnesium play an important part in a strong immune system.
Anecdotally, there is other evidence that Miracle-Mineral-Supplement use leaves people anemic. However, I don't believe most people are using Miracle-Mineral-Supplement under close observation of a medical professional, so there is no test results that verify this.
Sodium chlorite solutions are being studied as a way to initially treat wounds and burns. These studies are not open for the general public to browse, but my interest and discussions with medical professionals have opened some doors for me and I have been able to take a glance at what is going on. There is no indication of healthy cell damage reported... so far. I might add that the solutions they are studying are far less concentrated than Miracle-Mineral-Supplement , and the protocols are totally different and do not involve oral ingestion.
When you read through the discussions of various people using MMS, you find anecdotal evidence that, at first, it seems to bring some improvement to the person taking it. I have pointed this out to medical professionals and they simply say that the evidence is anecdotal, and they already have approved medication that can do the same thing without having to risk their medical license using a pesticide.
These are some of the same medical professionals that have been following the claims for "fish oil" and are now funding tests and recommending it for daily use. Internally, they don't think MMS is a miracle anything, but topically and externally they do appreciate the miracle of chlorine dioxide solutions.

My bottle will arrive soon. It is too bad I do not have the financial means to test in a way I would like to.
But as someone who has had a lot of health issues, I can tell you Tom, I will choose getting a little anemic and low in magneisum any day of the week. In fact, it is a walk in the park compared to everything else and to me is well worth the risk in taking it.
But everyone should make their own deicision and should be well informed to make those decisions themselves.

I've been watching this thread with interest. It's good to see that you are really looking into this, and making decisions based on fact, not fantasy. I know how hard it is to have a disease that you will do anything to get rid of, and I know how hard it is to find that something that you want so desperately to work is not the answer. Tom helped me try this, and although I tried a very low dose, diluted, looking back I can see a time with it where I felt better, but it seemed to be a euphoria. I might be wrong, but I believe that this was caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain, similar to getting drunk. So the feeling better wasn't that the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement was doing a good job, it was a bad thing because lack of oxygen to the brain isn't good at all. Someone else on this board claimed a cure of her MS(my disease) but it made mine worse, it caused an exacerbation. I have a hard time believing that it helped her MS at all because it simply makes no sense at all. I hope that you find an answer for whatever ails you, but I have to say, Miracle-Mineral-Supplement isn't it. In fact, it will cause you more problems in the future. I have a good friend that tried it over a year ago, and is now dealing with the after effects. Chronic anemia, and heart problems, which cause her to pass out frequently. She is seeing a doctor, and they are running tests, trying to undo the damage done. So be very careful with it if you go ahead and try it. Personally, I don't think that it's worth the problems that you will deal with in the future. I'm sure at this point some will jump in here and try to refute this. Just understand that some may not suffer long term effects, it's kind of early to tell, but what if you happen to be one that does, like my friend? Something to think about. Also know that Tom is the best one to go to for answers and advice. I sure wish that Bruce would come on the board and address some of your questions as well. Between the two of them, they have the best advice you can get.

This is a reply to # 1,381,573She has MS, her health was OK except for the MS. She took 3 drops, twice a day for a week. She couldn't tolerate it and stopped, and has gone down hill since then. They are still runnning tests. The only thing that she did differently was the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement . She has had problems since she did it. Doctors are looking into it now, but since you know about it, I'm sure that you will come up with the answer. Makes me wonder why we ever went to doctors, or asked experts anything before, when all we had to do was ask Jonny!

HAHAH! Hi Caitlin..thanks for your post. I am so sorry that you are suffering and that you have to deal with the pain of it. With that said....
I just laughted so hard. I think that is hysterical...that her doctors have blamed the chlorine dioxide, although she only took it at such low doses for only 1 week....it is always their habits to pick something out to blame when they themselves can't find the cause. Blaming their own incompetence on something outside themselves. SO TYPICAL.
If anything, your post and what the doctors have said about that being the cause of her MS, have actually made me more privy to want to take it. My experience so far is that doctors know next to NOTHING about the body and their main interest is solely in making money.
So thanks so much for your post..Luckily I am not suffering from MS. And oddly enough, just before I came to read this Caitlin, you may be interested to know, that I just read that low amounts of progesterone have been linked to cause similar symptoms of MS.
I have been having an intense twitching in my foot, that I was actually scared was MS, that has been increasing all over my body the last year, but in the last 2 days of taking a Progesterone cream, I feel that a great deal of the twtiching has subsided. Maybe that will help you...but you have probably already tried that...

This is a reply to # 1,381,737Interesting response. I was watching this thread, wondering when you would change your tune, and here it is! What's the deal, were you really interested? The thing that really amazes me is that people tend to group together, and it's completely illogical. Now I understand that some feel the need to go completely alternative, and some allopathic. The alternative people seem to have this narrow mindset that all doctors are bad, stupid, driven by big pharm, etc. Allopathic people seem to feel that alternative is candles, incense, anti doctor. As for me, it's in between. Some allopathic treatments are important, and some alternative treatments are good. I don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.
As for my friend, there were tests that showed damage, and doctors who know a whole lot more about the physiology of the human body than you do, so to condemn them without knowledge of them or their credentials is just plain silly. It doesn't take long for toxins to do damage within the body, especially if the body is damaged by disease to begin with. Now if she has to go by someones opinion, a learned doctor or a person on an alternative forum with no education, my guess is that she's going to do the smart thing. She always has the option of rejecting final analysis, doesn't she? I know that you may have read an article or two on the internet, but really, does that compare to studying the anatomy and physiology of the body for years? You see, some doctors are actually concerned about what is causing a problem, and will search for an answer with no concern about the profits of big pharmaceutical companies. I have a doctor like that. There are some bad doctors out there, but there are good ones as well. It's your job to interview them and hire a good one. If a bad one gives you bad advice, fire him and go find a good one. It just amazes me that people don't get that!
I have looked into treatments for MS for over ten years, and have run across the hormone issue. Thanks for the info on it. Sounds to me like you haven't found out what is causing your problems, and it might be a good idea to look further into it. Treating symptoms without knowing what the root cause it can be dangerous. Actually, finding a good DO instead of an MD is a good place to start. Good luck with your health, and finding answers for yourself. I have never met a western doctor that has helped me. Only hurt me.
It is my experience. My opinion. I believe that western medicine is good for emergency situations.
It is great to save lives when your body has been gashed open or you are having a heart attack. Other than that, MY experience has been to avoid doctors like the plague. MY experience. My opinion.
I am sad that you must suffer with something that you do not know what to do to make it stop forever.
I hope that you get well soon.
