Hello: For those of you who has so successfuly used the salt/water program for lowering your BP, I have a question.
I went to the curezone site where it is located but all they say is to use 1/4 teaspoon of this salt with every quart of water. So, what does that mean - do you put the salt INTO the quart of water or what????? It is not very clear at all.
Also, I always use the Haine brand of Sea Salt from the health food store but I don't think this is what they mean.
I wish they were more clear on their instructions.
Help - does anyone have info on this?

yes selina, precisely what you say, you put a 1/4 teaspoonful into a quart (approx 2 pints) and sip it throughout the day, tomi.

Thanks so much for responding - well, actually to me it sounded a little off about the salt. In other words, I felt that the salt would be detrimental to your health.
Anyway, I drink close to two litres of water every day and am a vegetarian to boot - I prepare my own meals fresh and never eat the garbage outside - I do so much to get my health back and especially to lower my stinking blood pressure but, to no avail.
I am on two medications and, I detest taking any drugs at all in my life but if I don't take these drugs my blood pressure shoots through the roof (i.e. 190/100)....
can you believe this? So what the heck do I do = there must be some way I can lower my blood pressure to normal - get rid of the drugs and go on with my life but I cannot find the solution.
I am going to do some cleansings like a colon cleanse, a liver cleanse and whatever else I can. Drugs are not the answer but what is? I take vitamins, tons of them and still nothing.
Oh well, I am glad that at least you BP is back to normal. The salt that I use is Haine's (from the health food store) and it is seal salt with iodine.

I know how you feel. My blood pressure has been a mess for several years now. I have tried this, that and the other, but nothing seems to have done much to solve the problem. I try to eat right, although I don't think I do as good as you about it. I can tell you, though, I was pretty much a vegetarian for several years and it was actually during that time frame I gained weight and my blood pressure inched up on me behind my back. Now, it is possible that I actually eat more meat than I need. I do not eat pork or shrimp, shellfish and the like. I've been on the Maker's Diet for about 3 months now, but I think there may be more saturated fat on it than I can tolerate.
Right now, I'm taking two Quinapril (Accupril) and one Diltia XL at night, and my blood pressure is still terrible. I've had real bad episodes at the ER before I finally had to give up and start on the drugs. The bp is still running very high on the drugs, so I can't imagine what it would be off the drugs! Dr. Douglass once said that the body a lot of times just finds a way around the drugs.
Anyway, I've been using Celtic Sea Salt for a long time now and prefer it, but it in itself hasn't solved the problem. - Oh, and I'm sure the stresses which I allow into my life don't help either, along with my age (59). It is a stress in itself, but what can one do? I'm trying to drink a lot of water and think I am. At this point I just don't know what to do - I'm afraid of a whole lot of salt of any kind!

I also know how you feel - I believe that if my blood pressure were not an issue that many of my health ailments would not exist. It is like a vicious circle, bad health; one thing seems to bring another and so on until you are practically disabled by all accounts.
Anyway, listen - I found a great website - it is abchomeopathy.com - go there = you will find tons of posts from people all over the world re so many health issues, INCLLUDING HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE - AND THEY HAVE FOUND A CURE THROUGH HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES.
My cats have a homeopathic vet for years and I never give them shots, as I never, ever myself get shots for anything, inculding the flue.
Well, go to this website and let me know what you think - I am waiting for some of the remedies which I ordered from a website on-line and I will start right away - I have already started on the Arnica only two days ago - also, be aware that in homeopathy it takes time but once it does the job it is not something you take for the rest of your life.
Also, do, do go off the meat and animal products - in particular from this country - this country produces filth in everything, as long as they make "a buck" - do you wonder why everyone here is dying and has been dying of cancer???

Salt to taste. I add salt to my water if I have a dry mouth and can't stand the taste of the water. I prefer to take my salt though foods also.
Vitamins can be extremely dehydrating. If not good vitamins they can have soy, canola and synthetic vitamins that cause damage.
Adrenal output from an over stressed system can cause pressure to be high like mine. The Lobatalol works great to normalize my pressures, but also gives me chronic colds.
Without meds. I have pressures between 127/80 to150/100. Obviously from the top number being so low I have little trouble pushing the blood through my veins, but still have high diastolic pressures most the time.
Problem you may be having is an internal infectiona that is chronic and not going away. You may have an allergy, as in my case. I keep getting exposed to corn starch because I do not make everything from scratch. This causes me to gain weight, swell and so on. wheat or gluten allergies are also common problems.
Lemon water and bioflavonoids is the best I can deal with it till it lowers again if I do not take the drugs. Unfortunately the drugs deplete my immune system and also affect the baby I'm nursing's immune system.
I'm wondering if you are having a problem with chronic infection because of the medicine? I know mine is much better when I have no illness symptoms.

I have been using moniors for years now - you cannot have high blood pressure not have a monitor. I use the cuff with the stethascope - that is the most accurate one. The digital ones are obviously more convenient but not accurate. I had one and it gave readings all over the place.
Anyway, how do I check to see if it is foods that are the cause? I too became a bit obese - stopped smoking years ago and I think my sedentery lifestyle has contributed also. I am always sick and run down from one thing or another and yet, you never saw anyone more conscious of making such healthy choices in my life. I will not stop taking vitamins and minerals - without them I cannot even have one ounce of energy. But I will soon start going on different cleansings - I must clean my poor body out and start fresh - give it a rest - but I must be strong before I do this. I could start on something light.
I will get off these drugs if it's the last thing I do. They do nothing for me - they lower the BP a bit so that it is tolerable but you would think that they would take it down where it should be , i.e. 120/80. - Re: Salt/Water program for High Bloo... #27054 19 y 4,321
